I didn't know if this should go in the WTF PLAYER thread or the random fail. Didn't screenshot my party chat, but I just got out of a 60 sync'd group fighting crawlers. When our melee asked for haste, our amazing RDM replied, "But you're not /nin." We had a DRG, DRK, and PUP btw.

Melee are only worthy of haste if they /nin.

I've had to deal with wtf shit like that before. One time I was in a merit pt and asked for haste, and the rdm said, you don't need haste you have marches.

A friend was partying on THF at like 62ish and the RDM wouldn't haste him. Wouldn't give a reason why, and he just so happened to be in the ls we outclaimed Aspid on last night. 6 man kill, dropped A.body, was pretty nice. Anyways I took the liberty of sending him a tell going "You know that part of THFs damage is DoT right? So you should be hasting him to increase that DoT."

His reply? "< 75 THF."

Mine? "Oh so then you're just retarded."

I don't get why people get so butthurt that they see it necessary to bring down the entire party and everybody's exp, including their own, over something as stupid as claiming a turtle.

This isn't the first time this has happened lol. My LS leader went to go do Odin Prime as an Octave Club DRK and the mages refused to haste or cure him, and they wiped because of it. Why? Because apparently our ls yoinked a Dynamis from them, which the leader didn't even attend. Stupid. Stupid people.

/rant The convo he had with the guy afterwards was fairly hilarious, my leader was calling him an idiot clearly and towards the end of the conversation the guy was like "You're not a bad guy, I kinda like you."

Anyway, I don't understand why its so difficult to keep DDs hasted in a party. As soon as I learned Haste on RDM, I downloaded Yarnball and made it my point to keep all DDs hasted.

No fucking excuse really.

Yarnball doesn't work for me

The background stretches over my whole screen covering it, and when I haste people it doesn't show their names, rather some random numbers.

You have to load yarnball when the game loads for one. As for the background...dunno.

So load it up with the init file? If so, I can just make the text bold and some bright color, and the background invisible and it'll be just fine for me.

However, when I was serious about NIN tanking, I decided to level PLD to 75 so I can get a perspective from both sides and experience tanking on both jobs. After having done so, I realized I wasted 75 levels on PLD, because I concluded that on most mobs, a PLD isn't even necessary.

@Steven; when you load yarnball, either zone or run 50 yalms away from the people you're trying to buff and the numbers will be replaced by their names.

As for the background, that happens occasionally, but not always. I've had it happen 2-3 times... restarted POL usually fixed the problem.

Just b/c they're bad doesn't mean I should be bad. I USUALLY follow myself around on my bf's old account to haste my party, but on this particular day I was already multitasking and didn't do so. Boy, did I regret it

Once our PT started asking for hastes, he said he couldn't keep up with the rotation, and ended up only hasting the paladin. Forgot to mention that, too lol.

Reminds me, my shell had two PLDs, a blueberry with a Durandal and a Haub-wearer with a Joytoy.

Agreed. But I'm fairly sure my friend was doing in right, all his other jobs aren't gimp so there would be no reason for him to be gimp @ 62.

And to the person that said part of THF's damage is DoT at 62 in sarcasm....

Touche. >_> I remember having to use sushi and was hitting pretty low unless we had a BRD + COR. I'm fairly sure he did though, so in that case his DoT would've been acceptable. Either way, not hasting a DD is just stupid period.
