Same reason people use Aiming Bracelets (acc+6 att-18 for those who don't feel like looking it up). They finally learn that gearing for accuracy is more important than gearing for str/attack, and they go completely crazy with it.

Probably because you're giving up 2-3str and 25att for 10acc. Might be a fair trade if you're not capping acc (could use pizza instead, situation depending), but then it can only be worn by 5 jobs... which reduces other benefits, like to dnc for steps or some other use.

Mostly a case of horribly mistaken priorities here. Doesn't own a weskit, only Errant and Demon's Cloak. Thought as recently as level 72 that he didn't need any of his AF. I think he still doesn't have it--at least, he kept the Elvaan RSE hands on despite lots of resists in the KC BCNM. And yet, yes, that is an Ixion Cape and several very expensive (fulltimed) MP accessories.
