Really? So +22 attack 3% haste/5 acc, and 3 acc wouldn't improve his damage at all? And a pt full of people geared like him will get the same exp as a pt with the best gear available for their level? Amazing. Tell me more.

Low-level damage comes from your weapon and your buffs, not from gear.

Gear starts to matter when you're adding ~60 Acc, ~50 Attk, and ~20% haste. Before then, there's no detectable difference between a player who spent 10M on his level 37 gear, and the guy who's just using a Horror Voulge.

Not quite the same example, but because of Qufim/flea burns on my BLM I skipped a ton of shit right until endgame gear (what's this "Vermy" thing people talk about? Is it like a Black Cloak?). I haven't exped a DD in forever, but I imagine a similar principle applies. Gear for a certain cap and fuck the rest. Not saying the warrior chef there isn't worth posting, but people who fret about gear that takes effort to get and winds up being replaced later (especially if it's rare/ex and you can't sell it back) are just being elitist for the sake of being elitist.

So basically you're okay with most jobs exping naked until level 60(or 70 depending on the job).

1-50s I honestly don't give a shit if someone is nearly naked as long as they have an up to date weapon and major gear that they should have anyways from higher levels. Gear at those levels are not worth the gil and more importantly the inv space of someone who has multiple jobs. Ran into some sam a few days ago in eron who had all HQ gear okote etc. yet was using the level 10 rare ex GK. Shit like that is what pisses me off, not people naked in eron with a good weapon and PCC/rajas/acc ring.
