I never watched Lost, but I've read a bit on Lostpedia about time travel and a smoke monster and ancient temples and shit, so I watched the series finale

They don't answer any of the mysteries and everyone dies and their consciousnesses create an alternate universe where they live out their lives and then gather in a church and "move on" together

Yeah. It got good reviews from what I've seen just the ratings weren't high enough and it got cancelled.

I like the show, just not hilariously funny like I was led to believe.
