PS3 wireless issues

Alright, bit of a weird issue. In my house, we have Comcast Cable and a Linksys router. I think we pay per device for each one we have on the network, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm only home for another few weeks so it doesn't matter too much, but if I can get it to work here that'd be great. Anyway, my PS3 connects to the wi-fi fine, but when my mom tries to use her computer (Mac laptop) and get online it says another device is using her IP address. I confirmed that the device is the PS3. Why the hell is it doing that? Can I reconfigure the network settings on my PS3 so it doesn't do that? I have a laptop that I bring home every time I'm on break and I never have any connectivity issues with it, and I bought it while in Boston and hooked it up while in Boston. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Have you try to check if you create same fixed IP address on both MAC and PS3? I don't think the router itself will allow you to setup same fixed IP address on its UI (User Interface).

I'll double check it. I remember which one the Mac error message gave, I'll see if the PS3 one matches up with that.

Yeah looks like an IP assignment issue. Make sure the PCs are on auto obtain and give a static to the PS3 like Dev suggested xxx.xxx.xxx.105.
