    Avast flags all the time with SE's newsletters for me, I just put it down to a false alarm. But I've no idea why it happens.

    The official site has said 2010 since it was launched after E3 last year. Nothing new here.

    The alpha came out, some interviews were had and it was uncertain whether that was an ETA or confirmed

    It is now confirmed, people were debating whether it'd be pushed back, it was a huge topic in the big thread

    Square Enix has stated multiple times that it's coming out in 2010 and we believe that based on there confidence. However, there will still be people that are skepticle of a 2010 release date even with this new confirmation via newsletter. FFXIV is on a good track now and i believe that a December release date is very doable, once open beta ends the game will hit store shelves. Regardless though, it really needs to enter the 24/7 beta phase as soon as possible.

    Coming 2010 means nothing, they have been saying that all along. I am not saying it won't come out in 2010 but until we get a hard release date (and even then it isn't for sure) I am not going to stress one way or another. Release dates get bumped all the time.

    I think I've also been having trouble getting the newsletter, the last email I got was back in January. Any ideas what's wrong or how to fix it? I'm also kind of concerned that if I'm not getting their emails, I could miss a beta invite.
