In case yesterday's announcement of two Naruto Shippuden games wasn't sufficient Naruto news for you, Namco Bandai announced the release date for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 for Xbox 360 and PS3. Fans will be able to take control of Naruto and, um, all those other characters on October 19.
If you'd like to experience a sample of the Ultimate Ninja Storm -- an Ultimate Ninja Drizzle, perhaps, or Scattered Ultimate Ninja Showers -- Namco Bandai also announced that a demo for the CyberConnect2-developed fighting game is available now on both PSN and Xbox Live.NARUTO SHIPPUDEN™: ULTIMATE NINJA®: STORM 2 RELEASE DATE CONFIRMED
Santa Clara, Calif., (Aug. 25, 2010) – NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. announced today that a playable demo of NARUTO SHIPPUDEN™: Ultimate Ninja®: STORM 2 is now available for download on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®Network for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. Staying true to the anime series, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 2 immerses players in the mythical world of ninja with new expansive environments, exciting plot twists, and explosive battle systems. Now for the first time in the Ultimate Ninja series, online versus play will be available to let budding ninja from around the world flex their jutsu muscle. Encompassing the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN story arc, the game has a deep three-part story mode that have players living different ninja lives through the eyes of Naruto, Sasuke and Jiraiya. With more than 40 characters to choose from, engaging in bigger and more epic cinematic boss battles has never been this intense. As an added bonus, Lars Alexandersson, of TEKKEN® 6 fame, will appear as an unlockable guest character. Available in the game's versus mode, Lars brings his explosive signature moves and will appear in his TEKKEN 6 costume designed by NARUTO creator Masashi Kishimoto.

only thing that sucks about release date is that fallout: New Vegas comes the same day.

That Pain video is boss as fuck. Crazy psyched for this game.
Wow. That Pain vs Naruto video was sexy.
One of the strangest videogame interviews I've ever seen

Who the fuck is Lars?
Tekken 6 character.
Kishimoto did some character designs for Tekken 6.
Wow, Famitsu gave this 39/40
Are the characters diverse in the way they handle? Played the demo and it just seemed like mash button "1" occasionally pressing button "2" until the next Quick-Timed Event shows up. Graphics are awesome but game-play just seems dull.
Wow really? I thought the Naruto games were nice.. but not worth super high scores since it felt too easy. :/
Yup. It got 10/9/10/10.
Dunno how well Naruto scores usually are, but I'm sure they're never this high I assume. Which is why I'm surprised at how high of a score it got.

I've seen that difficulty is pretty much never considered in any published review. The game has very high production values, tons of cool mechanics, and a highly detailed campaign mode for a fighter(one with 40 characters at that). Combo system(while cool looking) seems to be simple, but I don't think anyone there minds.
yeah, that's what I meant by easy; the combos consisted of different variations of square square circle, etc.
