I saw this for 50 bucks at Fry's. Tempted to buy, since it's about 10 bucks cheaper than normal.

How does the RPG mode / quest mode compare to Ultimate Ninja 4? That had a surprisingly fun quest mode, which sadly wasn't really repeated in UNS.

    Killer Bee unlocks at 540,000SP

    Sasuke Taka unlocks at 560,000SP

    Minato unlocks at 580000SP

    Lars unlocks at 600,000SP

Hokage Naruto is gained by talking to Fukasaku and his wife and then praying in the statue next to them in mount myoboku(post game)

Lars is a good support than he is an actual fighter. Minato just plays like sage naruto so he's meh to me.

I finished story mode. It was pretty damn fun. It does a good job at presenting the story in an abridged format. There are quite a few key points that got left out, but for a video game version, I think it did very well. It's been awhile since I've played a game for 6 hours or more straight.

Difficulty is all over the place, but it seemed fairly easy to me overall. Sadly, the fight that I though was the most fun happened fairly early: Naruto vs. Kakuzu. I was hoping that the game would build on that fight, but it never really did. There were a lot of other battles that I greatly enjoyed playing, but that Kakuzu one ended up my favorite.

Also, there is a whole lot of sad packed in this game with three characters dying.

Have you started with the post game stuff? I finally finished all requests last night and finished all friendship events 10mins ago. I normally never go for a platinum trophy but they're so easy to get.

The Kakuzu was a nice change of pace in the game too. I still need to go back and S it for that trophy.

The final cursed doll was a pretty rough fight so be careful with it. Grandpa Gen npc has you fight 10 challenges and they're incredibly tough. The last challenge has health regen and it nearly drove me crazy from losing constantly.

I haven't done anything post game yet. Are any of the doll fights difficult?

The Kakuzu fight is actually really easy to S-rank, you shouldn't have much trouble with it once you learn how to dodge that fire cannon easily.

I have you on PSN, my name is Raygun_ if you want to play some multiplayer. I'm not good at that yet, but I'd love to mess around with some characters. I was trying to play some games with Tenten as lead and... yeah... lol

I found the Pain, Konan, and Tobi doll fights to be really difficult at first. Once you finished all over dolls and you talked with the doll guy, you have to go to Orichimaru's hideout for the final fight. The final doll is a black and white sage Naruto that will counter with barrage constantly.

Yeah I'll be up for a couple fights online if you want.

After the cursed dolls you unlock "Fragments" story mission in which you use Sasuke(Taka) against Killer Bee.

I thought the Pain group curse dolls weren't that hard. I baited him into using Shinra Tensei by spamming shuriken. As soon as he did I'd Rasenshuriken him over and over. Itachi and Deidara were the hardest for me. Haven't fought the final doll yet, just now unlocked Fragments.

Watched a friend play a few matches...my thoughts:

    1) Itachi is still broke as fuck. Taking away Amaterasu means nothing cause once Sussano's out that's usually gg; I think I've seen one person beat Itachi w/Sussano up all night.

    2) Bee is terrible. ;( I'm sad too, he was the one person I was looking forward to him the most.

    3) People fight like bitches online. :/ Sage Mode Naruto is so easy to predict; all he does is Rasengan spam. Sasuke spamming Kirin with Kabuto as support gets annoying, and people just fighting long distance(minus shit like Deidara...he's meant to fight far away) makes online kinda lame.

Yeah, that's the way it usually goes with fightan games, sadly. I'd like to do actual anime-like fights with friends online instead of just 'spam techs/punches/kicks until victory'. Seems like it'd be fun.

Just finished story mode, loving this game so far.

Also, Kaiten + Hinata's 64 Palms + Shinra Tensei = win. I used to hate Neji in UNS1 but he's so good now. I'm having a pretty awesome time trying to figure out how many different ways I can completely screw people over by making them run face first into a Kaiten. So far Dynamic Entry, Minato and 8 gates Guy (mostly when they abuse the teleports), and Rasenregan spam Naruto all seem to fall for it every time.

The most hilarious one was probably awakened Deidara. I've only just found out that apparently if you sit right under the dragon, it gets stuck on Kaiten for the full duration, and since it gets stunned but doesn't get knocked down, you can just keep repeating. The lag can be annoying at times, but this game is so much fun online :D
