Overall, I enjoyed it. It wasn't as great as I was hoping it was going to be. Removal of chain attacks was a miss. Being stuck with Reyn and Sharla clones is a big RIP. Reyn clone is fine, but Sharla clone is just useless, due to the nature of Sharla's gameplay.
Like the world building they did for the area, and expansion of Melia's story. Liked how they inadvertently gave Riki a little more development, even though he wasn't present.
The quite moments were definitely the best part. They were much better than the heart to hearts from the base game.
Love how they implemented side quests from the main game into the expansion. Teelan becoming an important character was great. The nopon climb stuff was in heart to heart in the base game as well. Happy they remembered them, and it rewards you for fully playing the base game.
I loved all the Tyrea stuff, and what it did for her character. Her and Melia have the single best heart-to-heart in the whole series. It's a really good scene. My only gripe with it was that she wasn't playable. They fake you out thinking that she will be a member, since it shows her heart to heart portrait, but alas.
The ending was kinda meh. Fog King is never explained. No real connection to Xenoblade X or 2, which I thought they would have since, you know "Future Connected," but it's fine.
