Decided to go with a a droid so have this going spare.

It is used but is in good condition. Just selling phone + battery (can throw in an sd card if you really want, have a few spare 512s)

Fully functioning. Condition is good with minor cosmetic damage (a little bit of scratching to the chroming but nothing serious, see pics)

Currently locked but easy enough to unlock to any network as im sure everyone is aware.

Looking for about $200 dollars or best offer since ive seen much worse ones with broken screens and no accessories go for the same amount. Open to negotiation though so just make me an offer if youre interested!

These phones require a data plan right? What if it's unlocked do they still require a data plan?

I'm interested in getting it as a gift to replace a phone the person currenetly has because it's broken. The thing is they wouldn't have a need of the data plan and I heard that it's required to get a data plan on those type of phones.

Oddly enough you don't. My friends mother has one without a data plan. She just uses it as a PDA for documents to go and that sorta jazz and hooks it up to her pc for transferring things from work to home. It will of course still access wifi though should you wanna use internet functions without having a data plan.

I also did some looking around online to verify this is correct for you.

I'll pass, I can't be too sure unless I had one in my hands to try it out. This is because I spoke to a AT&T rep that told me upon the phone being detected it wouldn't work unless the person upgraded to a data plan.

Well if you're sure. I can definitely attest to it working though.

I've actually used this phone im selling now without the data plan active, before my provider put it on. All that happens is the icons for data related stuff (email etc) are suppressed and the browser defaults to a wifi hotspot mode. Still works for absolutely everything else with no problems at all.

Hmm wonder how much it will cost me to unblock it and use on my country, i may be interested in buying it, my problem is i live in south america.

Next week i am going to travel to Colombia for 4 days, if there isn't a problem for you i could western union money from there ( i'll add money of shipping of course), but yea if you haven't sold it by next week and don't mind shipping down here, i can pay 150$ + shipping.

Im more than happy to send it to south america. As far as unlocking goes its pretty cheap. Plenty of stores do it (at least they do here) and plenty of websites can even do it for usually 15 dollars or so. Ive looked at postage too and that would be no more than ten dollars at most it seems.

Ok, i'll let you know by monday, i actually would like to use a delivery service that is safe (western,ups,fedex), i don't mind paying extra for that, mostly because i don't trust my local post service lol.

Actually since i'll be only for 4 days over there, i probably will send you money from Colombia but will give you a delivery address in Venezuela (this is where i live).

Reason i can't send you money from Venezuela, is because we have a control on foreign currency, i.e my country doesn't let me send or receive money .
