if I'm on chest duty, I call out the good augmented items and leave them for grabs. But if I'm doing that mind numbing shit, and I see an adaman barbuta with Light+4, yea I'm ganking it.

Given how fucking awful most DDs are, one is a hell of a lot easier to replace than the other. Especially considering you get random /tells from people begging to be a chest opening leech while you're in the middle of a run, and pointing out that they have 10 stacks of keys ready to use.

cruors near worthless now... i do not know about your servers but on mine stuffs down to the point your nearly going to be npcing it for the same. So lets just say your at 8k/3k cruor. Thats a hefty amount of keys to pick off 10k-35k items lol....

So ya if one person is just opening chests... for every stack they use I do not mind them getting a 10k item, however its fucking retarded when your fighting mobs that drops keys to say this.

Also I do not know how you all do it, but every party I am in has a lv50 rdm mule opening chests. So I really think its fair, if not a privilege, to be key opener. The cost of cruor as key opener IMO should be expected and all with them doing nothing but leeching.

Top end chests take longer to open, and they should be dropping constantly. I do not believe you can keep on top of chest duty solo for 6+ hours without several stacks of keys. You would need to have an incredibly shitty alliance to be getting chests that slowly. Our chest leech only opened useful chests, only used keys when he needed to, and had a blm helping open chests when he got behind, and he still went through several stacks of keys on top of the ones that dropped.

When you're in a party that is cycling through new members, you really owe it to the new people to keep building lights for the duration of the alliance, and unfortunately red chests are utter cheating bullshit.

Red chests are easy... I mean there are a few that totally will dick you over and make you cry no matter what you do but for the most part it is really easy to open 90% without needing a key. And blue chests. I mean come on. Those are easy. They stay up for like 3 minutes and it shouldn't take more than 30-40 seconds to open the easy ones. I ended up only using 4 stacks of keys in a seven hour party being full time chest bitch and me an my friend left with more than 150 minutes, so we were getting chests everywhere. Paying attention really helps. So does not having a fucking bard. Especially on gold chests. I hate bards in my party in abyssea.
