True but regen is kinda retarded in abyssea anyway. For anything serious you're gong to be curespamming your hp to cap constantly so regen would probably waste more mp than save. Outside of abyssea it would most definitely be better

Not really. Regen IV base only heals 600hp over 60 seconds (30hp/tic). Full merits adds another 100hp for a total of 700hp. Even with full Regen merits and a Cleric's Briault (780hp recovered total), that's still less than a gimp AH-geared WHM's Cure5. You get less with Regen merits as higher tier Regen spells become available because Regen merits have the same effect on all Regen spells (only +1hp/tic).

Cure Cast Time merits work on all Cure-type spells, including Curagas. I'd rather have the extra slot of inventory than carry around Cure Clogs.

It came from no trophy. It comes from the new Brygid quest in Abyssea - Altepa.

Eh? Regen merits are so boarderline useless, I'd rather keep Cure Cast time merits on the off chance I lag and precast doesn't properly fire. Feels more useful than Regen merits as long as Salvage doesn't randomly become useful.

Because you can cap cure casting time with two pieces of easily attainable equipment, and there's no other way to maximize regen.
