Got my subligar finally 100ish tries. I did it on BLU not realizing it has the largest amount of gear on the list. I bought about 10 bodies and 7 legs, and had to turn her quest down maybe 1 out of 10 times, damn clown subligar.

I wouldn't let the high numbers of tries stop you though. 50 tries took me like 2-3 hours, so all in all it was 2 nights.

Also, you need rank 2 fame to start this quest. I did Chumimi's quest 7-8 times to get started.

This, pretty much... a LS mate of mine went through the gear list and counted how many pieces you'd have to hold for each job to get it done swiftly so if you have any of the jobs at the bottom of the list leveled to 72-ish (iirc the highest level to equip some of the quest armour is around there...) go as that. :

21 - BLU
19 - BRD
17 - PLD
16 - THF/DRK/BST
15 - MNK/DNC
14 - WHM/RNG/SMN/COR
13 - WAR/DRG/PUP
12 - BLM
11 - SAM/SCH
10 - NIN

The seals and subligars are completely fecking random, went 1/180ish for my refresh pants and got them 1/8 for a mule...

SCH is 11 pieces, and all other jobs are 12 or more.

Very possible there's pieces missing, and they're not my numbers. My LS mate did the list when Heroes had been out about a week or two and wiki was still hugely incomplete. I did the quest on SCH and WHM and 11 and 14 are correct for those as far as I could tell (about 200 quest repeats on both characters).

yes hqs work, and i don't think it's every piece equip-able as i never used silken slops on BLM in 700 redos

Yeah, my list is just the total possible, not the list per job. I *suspect* (no evidence, wild speculation follows) that there's a list of 5 body pieces and 5 leg pieces that each job has. Not sure what that list is, though, without massive amounts of trial, though.

I'm capped on trophies for most levels and haven't taken the time to try for some augmented armor, can anyone give me some suggestions?

I have all mage jobs at 90, but mostly play Whm.. Love Cor(Wildfire), Rdm, Blm, Sch, etc as well though. The problem is I have good gear for most of these jobs, does that make the trophy augment items obsolete for me?

Can get a Facio Bliault that has up to Cure Potency +14% and refresh on it for WHM. Can get a Literae Coat that has up to MaB+5 for BLM which also has base stats of MaB+3 for a total of MaB+8. And can get Mederi Talar for RDM, BRD, and BLU that can have up to Magic Accuracy +7 and Fast Cast +5. Don't really know much about how useful the rest of the gear is but maybe that will get you started.

I already have a signed Aristocrats from my husband that I don't want to get rid of for sentimental reasons, and have Blm AF3+2 coat already for nuking and Rdm relic for fast cast. I guess a Brd fast cast body wouldn't be bad, but I already have full marduk and most other song casting time -% pieces... I don't really get to play blu enough, but I guess that is an option.

It really seems like most of these trophies are a waste with other gear out there .

You don't need to get rid of the Aristocrat's if you get a Facio. I have a signed Noble's from one of the nicest people on Quetz that cost me 9m gil back in the day and if I ever get a Facio I don't plan on getting rid of it.

Might aswell spend those trophies on something.

There are some trophy items that at least match/beat their respective counter-parts.

I understand having something sentimental and not wanting to get rid of it, but it doesn't make the armor a waste. the Falcio is better than Nobles/Arist. You should consider an upgrade!

That being said, most of them are pure shit. But there are items like the STR+6 RDM/BRD/BLU boots that are especially epic for BLU's (IIRC?)

Most of them barely fill a spot, but some are quite useful!

Seriously... fuck this quest.. Same horror story as everyone else lol, took something like 200+ tries, stopped counting after that point. Brygid is a demon child. +6 tick refresh in gear for blu is nice tho, +7 with auto.

Forgive me as I haven't played in forever, and this is an honest question.. where does the +6 come from? I'm guessing subligar (+1), AF3 body+2 (+2), wivre hairpin (+1), +1 from that purple hand/foot set.. what piece am I missing that you get the last tick from?

I have a earring from the final WOTG mission reward augmented with refresh +1. So hairpin (1), body (2), earring(1), subligar(1), hands+feet(1).

Yeah the moonshade earring is shit hot for some things, but few people can be arsed trudging through all 54 wings of the goddess missions to get there.
