Two dark rings in about an hour. One has PDT 4%, MDT 3%, and interruption 3%. the other has PDT 2% and MDT 4%. Not the best, but at least I am getting my PDT and MDT sets created. PDT at 41% with some quick/cheap AH items as MNK.
Should of heard us on vent lol
Yeah I know. We were out there for the refresh hairpin that didn't drop. Didn't see a point in wasting them though since I didn't have anything at the moment. I mean I've only had 90 MNK for like 3 weeks now. And before that it was 23 (LOLSMNBurn sync). We still need to go back so maybe I'll luck out with some 5/5 or better next time.
You should have been able to cap gear for MNK is 3 weeks.
Yeah? By whose standards? Someone who already has multiple +2 90s and all the necessary atmas for the relevant jobs? Or someone who has just returned to the game after a year long break that has (had) zero idea what Abyssea was and has been moving at break neck speed to play catch up?
Yeah... thought so.
Okan, ignore the vultures. This is BG so you have to be thick-skinned or just outright ignore the bullshit. Anyone who doesn't have 100% of what they need 24 hours within starting the game isn't being efficient enough.
I don't see how that's possible, but okay. I'll just take your word for it.
@Valisk
Yeah. Been coming here long enough you'd think I'd be used to it. Just is pretty amazing some times.
How is it amazing? The hardest and slowest party of gearing now days is getting seals. Even if you shout for them you should be able to get 5/5 +1s in no longer then two days. I can't think of one piece of gear besides Black Belt and Vereth that should take you three weeks to get.
How about stones?
You do know that at one point, you had to start with one traverser stone?
And that one stone was a 30 minutes time limit inside Abyssea?
Edit: I forgot! You actually have to join a group and level up.
Then you have to acquire atmas (VV, RR, SS, GH, more)
You should also be hunting abyssites (lunar, celerity, furtherance, merit, sojourn, others).
Since it was also a level 23 job, I had to join a few parties to get merits since I had none.
Then maybe go kill all the zone bosses and caturae for discernment.
What about all that?
Edit again:
I forgot that at times we were doing things outside Abyssea too. Like the mini-expansions, I was finishing TOAU missions. Granted I said a "year long break" but in reality, it was much longer as I only played for about 2-3 months a year ago and that was just long enough to get BST from 60something to 75, realize that BST isn't wanted and semi-rage quit. Yeah, i'll admit that.
It is possible, probably even faster depending on how much time you have to play and how many stones you have saved up.
But it does kind of involve devoting most of your playtime on gathering gear and either having your own blm and whm mules along for procing and stuff.
Or some friends or slaves willing to work for you and only you.
If you're not like that you're free to join the people like me who aren't exactly in a hurry or have any other motivations then playing this game for fun and relaxation.
I don't have the best gear, but I have the gear I consider vital to the jobs I have leveled.
The rest?
Working on it, but in my own pace.
you seem to assume that people can amass the help on que to finish everything. about 2-4 weeks with help damn near daily and 5+ play hours a day and you MIGHT be able to get a monk from 1-90 subs leveled and all of the gear needed not to be "gimp" and that's with an infinite gil supply.
Oh. I get it. You're trying too hard.
give up okan , ive done the work hes talking about with ls members took 3 weeks of constant work to get a friends monk from abyssea leech to gear close to mine. thats not counting the millions of gil spent and the 2-5 people helping him at all times or the week spent just doing WoE.
You're not even aware how much time he plays. 3 weeks is plenty of time depending on how much you play, how much effort you put in trying to get gear as fast as possible to please the Haboryms of the world. Unless you mean 504 hours of playtime is enough (24hrs x 7days x 3weeks), you're coming off as a douche. No even a cool kind of douche either.
Edit: Okan just admit it's possible (because it is) but don't entertain these guys saying that YOU should have it done in the "possible" time because they don't know shit about your schedule or resources (gil, LS, friends, etc).
