    Unmountable boot drive...

I dualboot Windows XP. This morning it shut down unexpectedly - I thought because the battery was dead. Now when I boot I BSOD during startup and get the above error message. Didn't touch any system settings or do anything unusual the last time it was on aside from let the battery get low. Am I boned or is there something I can at least try to fix this?

Also I can access all my files fine from this side of my computer if it matters.

EDIT: Error was Unmountable Boot Volume, though I figure you guys probably knew what I meant.

The last part's gotten up to 70-80% then jumped down to 50% a couple times, wondering if I need to move to the next step.

EDIT: Oh hey, it finished this time (finally >_>). Rebooting, hopefully I'm ok now.

chkdsk can take forever, unless it stays on the same percent for more than like 20mins, just wait it out. If the chkdsk doesn't do it, go back into the console and type "fixmbr" that usually did it for me

Yeah, was beginning to worry a bit because it started moving really, really slowly. Looks like it's fine though (posting from Windows), it fixed one more error on reboot and hopefully that'll be the end of it.
