I haven't got bored with lance yet, but I want to try bowgun and switchaxe at some point.

Feels good man.
They have a lance which looks like a gunlance.
But anyway, you know why I complained about grinding in MH? It wasn't obvious that it was going to be a fucking grinding game. It was sold as an action game where all you do is fucking kill huge monsters, bathe in their blood, carve them and make weapons with their parts.
No one told me I was going to be a fucking bug hunter or miner, what the fuck is this shit?
All of the side shit like fishing, bug catching, farming... etc, it all sucks... and the combat in the game isn't even that great.
I feel Monster Hunter is dragged down by all the collection bullshit especially since it's necessary to create a good few items.
I wasn't really a huge fan of the combine system either but it is passable.
Basically, I feel the thing that draws people to MH is the same thing that draws people to MMOs. I'm not even going to say what that is because you fucking drones should already know.
So you agree with yahtzee
Sorta, but I at least played more than the first 30 minutes of the game.
He said some shit I didn't agree with too but I don't exactly remember what as I don't take his reviews seriously.
Gathering matters less and less once you get access to the trader(especially both the trader and online trader) and farm. Then you just need a few Rathian or Rathalos kills(the shit fishers find will cover anything else) and you are set. Wasn't a big issue for me because I didn't really start using traps until I was able to get like 50 spiderwebs and thunderbugs via traders and those two are the most annoying items in the game.
Keep in mind I am not talking about Tri, I don't really care about Tri. (There is no trader in MHFU or previous versions) I don't have a Wii.
Perhaps Tri is better, I still doubt it.
I'm pretty sure if you don't have the shop DLC in MHFU (carried over from MHF2) it sucks dick.
Having to actually carve raw meat... LOL.
Once again proving that polearm is the best weapon for any RPG situation.
