Fucking god damnit. I hate you so much Michael Bay, I really really really really fucking do. God damnit please let him die during production. I seriously want to see him end up in the "Celebrity" deaths thread.

Actually, the day he dies I want a separate thread. That way everyone can cheer and praise Jesus/Buddha/Hindu/Shiva/Moko the Samoan Bird King that he is dead and gone.

... Am I the only one who doesn't see anything wrong with Michael Bay? I personally enjoyed Transformers, and I'll probably enjoy this movie as well. Either there's some intense bandwagoning going on, or I'm missing something.

Fuck that, Bay is trash. The guy pretty much made the Transformers themselves guest stars in Sam Witwicki's CGI explosion orgy. TMNT just holds a special place to me in my childhood, just like Transformers was. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and hope he doesn't totally screw this franchise up....but I won't be surprised if he does.

He's not even worth that much. I expect just more 'splosions, nothing else. You probably won't even see the TMNT characters, it'll be nothing but 'splosions.

I still have a bunch of the old cartoons on VHS and recently found all 3 of the old movies (fuck you guys, i loved them;; ) on DVD to go with their VHS counterparts~

depends how old you are. if you're like 13 you don't remember growing up with the tmnt movies and the cartoon. tmnt WAS childhood itself for alot of us. fucking with it is a serious offense, which bay will most certainly do.

I feel the same way. I've enjoyed some of his movies (Bad Boys was pretty good in my opinion, but I'm a Will Smith fan.) His movies don't have the craziest story, but shit, it's still something to watch.

And, yeah, I grew up as a kid with TMNT. About 50% of my toys were TMNT. My bed sheets were TMNT. A lot of my shirts were TMNT. Who fucking cares. Shit keeps spinning.

Edit: I had to imdb him to see what all he's made lol, and damn, he was the director for one of my top favorite movies "The Rock"

Michael bay has not business with TMNT.... I think they have finally crossed the line this time, i'm going to blow up hollywood.

Story/etc was fine, but Starscream and Megatron should actually LOOK like Starscream and Megatron. Same for many others. He stuck Prime spot on - why couldn't he be consistent? Ruined it for me.

Which version of Megatron and Starscream? There's like a dozen different versions (if not more) of both of them.

As far as I'm concerned, Bay pretty much was consistent. Every single bot got updated to work in the movie-verse and as far as I'm concerned all of them turned out to be pretty badass looking. Hell, RotF Megs is easily one of my favorite versions of Megatron and Weaving made for an excellent snarling yet sophisticated villain.

I grew up with Transformers, G.I. Joe, TMNT, and all those other wonderful 80s franchises. In fact I've always been a fan and supporter of all those kick ass things, so I remember the good and the bad that has come with them. I don't think Bay ruined Transformers since the first one was a decent flick and the second one was ruined by the Writer's Strike, not Bay himself. And I don't see him 'ruining' TMNT at all either. If TMNT could survive Vanilla Ice, Time Traveling (the third film and the crappy cartoon) and that horrible live stage tour, it can survive Bay.

Also, just an FYI, Bay is PRODUCING the movie, not directing it. While he's going to be involved in the film, he's not the one making the actual movie, he's the one raising the money so it can be made. So you can stop all your whining, crying and bellyaching over Bay 'raping your childhoods'.
