After the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, I'm not so confident.

Top that with my disdain for remakes in general, and I'm just wishing Platinum Dunes didn't exist.

    You better not ass rape my childhood with this film... please don't ; ;

Still trying to get over the Transformers film... Case in point: In the cartoon, Starscream would argue with Megatron and Megatron would belittle him... THIS NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED IN THE MOVIE, WHAT THE FUCK!

To all the people saying there's nothing wrong with Michael Bay movies, they're just something cool to watch, I have a question: Why is that enough?

People are so poor they can't afford to feed and clothe themselves, and require government assistance for a lot of stuff, but it's ok when people spend millions of dollars to make something that's mediocre, and just neat to watch.

When I first saw Prime transform, it was amazing. It was a noticeable problem that Megatron looked NOTHING like how he use to. I guess Bay didn''t think his old look was menacing enough but that doesn't excuse it.

I enjoyed the first movie despite it's nostalgia offenses. The second movie however, was absolute garbage which I was extremely disappointed in.

The second TMNT movie was by far the best! Vanilla Ice included!

To each their own I guess.

    This x 1000000.

I wish they would just leave TMNT alone ffs. Anyone who was growing up when it came out and had a turtle obsession, is not going to enjoy it the way we used to. There is no way we'll ever get that moment of joy we had as kids watching it in the movies. The people who really enjoyed and experienced the turtle days are to old now. They aren't gonna reach a new audience of children because I think the whole Karate/Ninja themed movies/shows/everything died in the early 90's. As cool as they try to make those themed movies, I don't think it will ever impact children the way it did back then. Regardless, I'm going to watch it opening day when it comes out.

What is all the hate the bandwagon hate for Michael Bay for?

I think some of you are being outrageous with claims that he ruined Transformers or is a bad director. The fact is that almost everything he has been associated with has been wildly successful and enjoyable.

Bad Boys 1 & 2, Classic. The Rock, Classic. Armageddon & Pearl Harbor, Great Movies. His horror movies were pretty good, especially The Hitcher.

I expect nothing less than 100's of millions of dollars in box office revenue and Sequels. Personally I loved what he did with transformers, so I'm excited how TMNT will turn out.

Agreed. Kids seem to be into wizards and magic shit now. Sad to see them miss out on the good old karate days, getting injured in the back yard as you jump out of a tree doing a karate kick. Or for me, I taped kitchen knifes to the end of a mop stick and started swing it around.

Awful movie was awful. I agree with you on the other shit other than his horror movies which I haven't seen but goddamn Pearl Harbor was a flaming piece of shit. I remember memorial day weekend in 2001 when it came out and I went to see Shrek instead, everybody walking out of the Shrek theater seemed to have a huge grin on their face, everybody walking out of Pearl Harbor looked like they wanted to kill themselves.

The Rock was a good movie, but that was only because he got Sean Connery in it and to be honest, I didn't even know he was the director until this thread.

Also, wasn't that one of his earlier films before he went all LOLSPLOSIONSEVERYWHERE?

Well, the ending of The Rock did have those huge unnecessary explosions at the very end that didn't really serve any purpose at all.
