Some reviews in from people that caught early screenings. All good, so far!

well if a shitstain like curtis lepore is endorsing it it must be good!
My friend really wants to see this, I'm trying to compromise by not going opening weekend.
Just got tickets to see the advanced screening of this Wednesday. I'll try to go in optimistically and will report back.
It's starting -- eight in, already down to 38%..

The way people have been talking about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, you'd think Michael Bay directed it. After seeing it, you may wish he had. I did.

Turtles will be fine. Better star power than Wrath, probably won't do Transformers numbers but even I'm surprised at how well popcorn blockbusters are doing overseas.
Looks like overall, the higher the budget, the lower the scores. Transformers seems to be an outlier, but it in my mind, it reinforces the idea that to Bay, special effects trumps story quality.
Note that my calculations prove that the original Bad Boys is the best film ever made.
Book it.
Give people exploding slop and they'll eat it up.
Biggest grossing country is also responsibly for this...It added(T4) $19.1M at 5,853 locations overseas in its sixth frame this weekend to push it over the top. Last month, the movie had already become the highest-grossing film ever in China with over $300M. It ended its run there last week with an official $301M. TAOE has yet to bow in Spain and Japan (Aug. 8) and Venezuela (Aug. 22), meaning its global run is far from over. This weekend’s notable holdovers included Germany, where it now has a cume of $30.5M, making it the top movie of 2014; France, where the cume is now $19.6M; and Brazil, with a cume of $25.3M to date.

Bad boys is a classic. Fuck the haters. The shot of Smith and Laurence as they stand in the sun. Legendary shot!
