Photoshop Transparency Question.

I am somewhat knowledgeable about some photoshop functions. I know pictures need to be a .png to be able to have a transparent background.

However, my question is this. I have a hard time making some pictures transparent (generally white background ones are the ones I try with, like my avatar.) IE: There will be random white spots and pixels around the image still and it does not look good.

Anyone have a guide to doing this more efficiently or any tips? Thanks.

Try it with a light green background like in the movies.

Aye, temp change the transparent background to a contrasting color to make it easier to see what you still need to clear.

The way I do it is simply use the Magic Wand tool messing with the tolerance that best works, then going in with the eraser to clean it up.

Another way you can do it is with Quick Mask Mode.
