Pressing Ctrl makes circle around mouse

Hey guys, I'm not completely retarded, I went into pointer options and the check box for "show location of pointer when I press control" is unchecked, yet every time I press the control key it makes a few circles around the mouse. Any ideas?

Is there any mouse drivers installed on your pc? Sometime, you can find the same options in 2 differents place (window options and mouse driver options).

But seriously, I've no fucking clue. Make sure to reboot after unchecking it. It might be one of these magical pc issue that aret solved with a reboot.
