A hairy situation (Cat dander)

I've had 2 cats for 2 years, and they stayed in my room a lot. Recently got rid of them due to some circumstances. Now I cleaned everything in my room, dusted, vacuumed, and aired my room out for 2 weeks, and some people who are allergic to cats still feel like shit in my room.

How can I get rid of all the cat dander? Just have to give it time or?

Give 'em a couple benadryls and tell them to get over it? Common allergies would be filtered out of the gene pool if it weren't for pesky things like civilization.

Get rid of your carpets.
Heavy drapes and curtains must go.
Wash all your beddings, rugs, carpets, and even pillows. Having your cushion, couches and chairs vacuumed will also help.
Cat dander may persist for months or even years, even if your cat is gone.

Also: spray your carpet and upholstered furniture with a product that contains tannic acid, which neutralizes pet dander and other allergens.

Thank you for the suggestions! The getting rid of carpet thing is really out of the question, i'll see if I can get it steam cleaned.
