Difference is more like
4 STR, 4 DEX (~3 Acc), 1% TA vs ~9 Attack
Imo (but without number crunching it) it probably pretty much comes down to if the Acc does anything for you, or allows for swaps elsewhere, then Noct will win. And that scenario probably occurs far more often than it doesn't.
I just know that when I worked it out against Adaberk, Adaberk won by a decent-ish margin.
For capped Haste on MNK: Turban + Tiercel Necklace vs Acubens + Faith Torque. Assuming Salvage mobs/boss, no H2H merits.
cor detonator legs?
have denali, enkidu's, and skadi eventually (need 25). I don't intend to get anything else so between those 3?
Enkidu's.
Head: AF+1 hat
Neck: elemental torque
Ears: moldavite, morion+1 (no novio)
Body: errant body
Hands: morrigan's cuffs
Rings: snow ring, omega ring
Back: gleeman's cape
Waist: penitent's rope
Legs: mahatma slops, duelist's tights
Feet: nashira crackows, duelist's boots
The legs/feet slots are where I mix and matched to get the two sets above. I also have goliard clogs if those would be better.
if you were to start with your best accuracy gear (af2 pants+ nash feet) - as advised for SCNM, should you feel your m.acc is excessive:
swapping from af2 pants -->mahatma
or
and nash -> goliard clogs
both equally effective in terms of dropping m.acc for damage (pants being double effect for double loss)
switching feet to af2 should be the last thing you do, as it's the least efficient swap
m.acc <-> dmg out of the 5 changeable pieces you mentioned.
sorry i couldn't give you any real good information, those pieces are all pretty closeexcept for af2feet
Shark Bite/Mandalic Stab bodies.
I have:
Hecatomb Harness
Enkidu's Harness
Mirke(Acc+10/DW+3 not against changing it to acc/att+10, but been lazy.)
Currently I'm using Mirke with the assumption that the 5 dex beats the 7 extra str on Hecatomb and 10 att on Enkidu's. Am I doing it wrong? Assuming it's always stacked with sneak attack.
sounds like your doing it right
I really do think you pick the devils advocate just to be argumentative Thorny in every possible post you make.
Ask yourself questions like:
Do you have Dex unlocked yet?
Are you eating meat or pizza?
Do you have enough slots unlocked on the earlier floors to justify the marginal haste increase versus loss of attack and acc?
The common sense answer is "dont wear Teircel on Mnk", and Acubens is extremely situational (focus times on first floor depending on food/zones/cells), but Jesus I'm sure you'll postulate some situation and math out the results for sushi using Mnks riding focus on BR first floor with full equipment unlocked while attacking feinted mobs during windsday at 3am just to be "that guy". Are you that desperate to put in your opinion?
And yet you felt the need to be argumentative?
Let him disagree, and move the fuck on.
Oh, right, he wasnt being argumentative by trolling around and disagreeing with any post made, even if he was giving bad advice, it's actually me being argumentative by pointing out how childish that is.
Right.
guillotine gear,
appropriate gorget v j.torque?
@capped acc
@6.3acc off cap?
@really high levels of atk?
I was thinking of this myself. I came to the conclusion that JTorque will beat Gorget if accuracy is not needed and Attack is not capped and if it is... situational. Perhaps still a better swap than Potent => Warwolf or what have you, though.
Snow, snow, and snow. Someone correct me if I am way off here, but gorget should almost always win even without needing the extra acc. Compared to no neck, justice is giving you 2 base damage from str (1 fstr, 1 wsc) and 10 or 11 attack. So the str is giving you 8 damage times whatever your pdif is. The 0.1 ftp from the gorget is giving you like 15 damage times your pdif (possibly as low as 12 damage if you are a taru with no str merits using vengeance). Your pdif has to be pretty low for 11 attack * 4 hits to make up that difference, like down around 1.3 or so I think. And that is assuming all 4 hits land. The gorget's damage boost is only dependant on the first hit landing, justice is only giving you 6 damage when 1 hit misses (which happens nearly 1/5 of the time). So unless you are fighting something level 85 with 300+ defense and you have no chaos roll, minuets or angon, snow should win.
Well, since mnk is much higher on the DoT portion of the DoT/WS ratio split, I'd actually wear justice torque before Tiercel. Especially pre-str cell. If your str is uncapped, I don't see .39 haste beating 1-2 fstr, of course this is AFTER you unlock all your gear and it becomes .39 haste instead of 1 (but even in my case, not worth it unless neck is like my first piece of gear, since I have an extra 4 from imperial ready to go @ rings unlock)
