Expansion on my question, Aesir Ear vs Triumph for Steel Cyclone? If it's better for all these WSs then I might as well sell my Triumph.

what do you need the haste for? in the rare case you're waiting on cures recast to comeback around, you probably should've cast cure3/4 instead of waiting.
as for everything else, you have blessed.
so you're giving up either:
movement speed on 1 or more jobs
best -pdt option for 1 or more jobs
-enmity on a piece used in conjuction with how whms earn most of their emnity
Said he isn't worried about -pdt, guess he has goliard and doesn't care for the 1%.
I would think he has another option for move speed or else he would obviously choose that.
Solely between -enmity and +3% haste, the haste is the better option. Better for BLM and WHM as well, dunno what his other jobs are but if he has RDM its pretty boss for that also.
wont lie, if you desperately need Cure Potency legs on WHM, you're probably doing it wrong. The difference between, say, 27% potency (Staff/Aristo/Earring) and 32% potency (Staff/Aristo/Earring/Legs) is so minimal that you're probably better off using the pants on a DD job if you have one (+3% Haste +7 Acc make them a dominating TP piece for any non-haidate job).
If you're set on the cure pot legs though, Cure Potency and -Enmity is pretty hard to argue with. As it's been said, if you're tank dies because you're waiting for a cool down on Cure V, you should have already cast Cure IV.
I recently got Noct. Helm, and Maat's capBut I'm not all that knowledgeable for Twohanders...
![]()
for WAR Raging Rush and Dragoon Penta thrust
What's better for spam parties? Hecatomb Cap, Noct. Helm or Maat's Cap?
I suppose that Roundel earring is so expensive because of all the DNC that want it since 5% is so minimal that it isn't worth it.
I can't comment on what's best for WHM but for BLM I would do MAB +4 and MB damage +10 for some epeen magic bursts with our new trait.
My only DD is rng, so I'm torn between the legs for rng, whm, or blm, (havent rly considered smn or brd). I know the pet stuff is good for my SMN, but i like all the -BP, ect.. stuff from AF2.
#I have gaiters so don't need the movement speed,
#I have Maha so not sure if its worth getting the blm pants
#Have AF2/AF+1 Pants for brd
#I use blessed pants for WHM for cure's atm
#AF2/AF+1 Pants for SMN
#My ranger is lacking on legs dept since I havent gotten AF2 and the other good leg slot items, and have been using Assault legs to TP in, but not sold on getting the legs for rng.
So I've been considering cure potency just because it would be a better macro piece them blessed legs
So what's looking like the best weapon for RNG, atm, based on no speculation behind the new Abyssea weapons (So using only their base damages for a model)?
How does Dragonmaw compare to the new Bow/Gun?
So basically asking: What's better? Dragonmaw or new Bow/Gun, based on only the new Bow's/Gun's base damage?
Update drama: usu body just been screwed for mnks?
full usu:
haste +13
acc +36
dex +13
str +5
vs:
haste +12
acc+32
dex+15
crit hit rate +3
DA +4
(this is assuming walahra + usu hands + byakko's + usu feet + NQ juogi)
Basically 3 less acc, 1 less haste instead 3 more crit hit rate and DA +4. Again, on NQ.
Edit: I think I've also seen some +2 haste gloves for mnk too around.
I'm missing something:
Full usu to the set you proposed using the HQ (not nq):
Full usu is +16 str, +3 acc, +10 att, +1 haste , +6 stp, +20 evas versus
Mixed +2 dex, +4% crit, +5% DA
So simplifying and offsetting:
Full usu +4 base damage, +2 acc, +18 att, +1 haste, +6 stp + 20 evas versus
4% crit and 5% DA
Not sure of your point. The HQ (haven't done the math) looks like it might be a little better if you don't use the full set. Maybe that's what you meant to say? Hard to say how much or how rare the HQ will be tho.
I meant that at the moment I use full usukane on my mnk, taking advantage of the +5 haste from full set. But it seems to me that the new juogi could make it worth to change the setup, sacrificing the body and keeping just usu feet and hands.
So the comparison would be between full usukane vs a mixed setup of walahra + juogi + usu hands + byakko's + usu feet.
I'm more for the second one atm, even though I haven't done any maths. DA on mnk is awesome.
I don't see that body by itself breaking a full set. The numbers I put up are pretty clear it won't.
That doesn't mean that no one will be able to put together something as a mix match that will be better than the full usu set for mnk however and that body would certainly be a candidate for that set.
We're all still going through this and there's still the fact that SE has plans in upcoming magian trials to let us upgrade equipment. It's possible (idk how much) that salvage gears will be upgradeable and these new ones won't. Ofc, could be just the opposite too.
I have been away from the game for many months, and I've come back to see that Blau has tanked in price. What has replaced it to cause the price to drop so much?
Ok so I've been looking through the drg OAT lances.
The higher Damage one ends at D79 Dly507 Occ. Att. Twice
The lower Damage one ends at D48 Dly507 Occ Att. 2-3 Times.
So... Which would be better? The Soboro Lance or the normal OAT one?
Well if distribution is anything like soboro average number of hits/round would be about 1.9
Where as w/ the OAT, 1.4 (40% proc rate).
Not accounting for DA or anything but just giving something general here
1.9/1.4 = 35% increase in swings
Not accounting for fstr, just doing this real quick ect
79/48 = 64.58% increase in dmg/hit
If someone else wants to math it it all the way out feel free, I'd say that only 2-3 times that'd be worth it would be the wargfangs (if they still work proc w/ footwork)
