How about "It's the only thing that has actually pushed us to use Footwork"? With out my OA3 Ursine Claws, Footwork would still be a shelved ability even with Poise Shoes taunting from the shadows. I find it a bit dubious to imagine that SE, who we know reads our forums, would not have fixed this when we first started talking about it with Wargfangs months ago.

I'm going to agree with this. I seriously hope it's the case at least. Footwork being good does not mean it's broken.

Plus there are downsides. You can't continually refresh Footwork like Hasso; you have to wait for the full 5 minute duration before re-use. If you get dispelled, or are paralyzed when it wears off and either get paralyzed on use or hold off until para is gone, or get amnesia'd, you have to spend those durations in the far weaker mode of the OA2-3 weapons (and the more difficult mobs love to use one or more of those moves). Or you can swap weapons and lose TP, which likewise lowers damage output.

Basically, OA2-3+FW is not the ultimate uber-weapon for cheap, though it can be amazing damage in many common situations.

Who knows. I of all people cant proclaim to know what SE will or wont do, they've shocked the hell out of me a few times.

However, looking at every other job that has to do an ASS TON of work and get 20-30 drops from 3-4 different abyssea NMs just to get an OA2 weapon with less base damage than our footwork + poise shoes and attacks half as often than our 85% Ursine Claws DA rate, it just seems obvious it wasnt intentional.

But who knows, I'd be glad to be proved wrong and have all those mnks that worked hard for OA2-3 keep their uber DoT.

Yes, well, in the meantime, I've hedged my bets with a pair of STR Taipan Claws, too. I recommend everyone else do the same, if only because Footwork can be tedious when solo.

What's better for landing slow on resistant mobs such as DI Alkalurops or Terra's? I'll extend the question, which would be better to cast with the hope of extending the duration of para II on various mobs Alkalurops or Aquilo's?

Slow doesn't affect DI, don't bother.

Terra's/Aquilo's should be better for accuracy though, but you should be able to land both with Alk at 80 on most shit.
How long it lasts depends on resists, so Aquilo's would be best for that (more MAcc afaik).

I just scored Poise Shoes, what's the ideal TP setup if I'm getting 13tp per kick?

should I be replacing the 7 store tp lost from usu feet with questionable pieces like

cobra hands (over usu/bando)
fourth mantle (over cerb+1/cuch)
ecphoria ring (over snipe+1/str ring)
chiv chain (losing faith torque and 320+ skill)

or does the 21 store tp tier not apply with finished ursine claws and footwork
