Aesir Ear Pendant doesn't compare to Brutal + Suppa for Thf/nin to TP in, right?
(If relevant, TP gear is roughly: http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/52591... I know it's gimp, it's a job I don't really care about)
I guess I should ask again while a debate on hth weapons has slowed a little:
What would be better for a PLD MDT/MDB macro-in set:
Avalon Breastplate + Coral +1 Head/Hands/Legs/Feet (-14% MDT)
or
Avalon Breastplate + Iron Ram Head/Hands/Legs/Feet (-5% MDT, 12 MDB)
Assuming that the rest of the gear totals up to -12% MDT and 8 MDB from various other items. Also assuming only gear obtainable from the AH is available for the time being.
I'm banking on the Avalon+Coral+1 setup as it would bring me closer to the -50% MDT cap with Shell V, but I'd just like confirmation.
edit - disregard, I missed a page!
They're both 30 min stackable foods...
And Yellow Curry Buns are cheaper on Lakshmi for some reason.
I'm confused as to how party size affects choice of food, unless one is operating on the assumption that a party of six is guaranteed to have a pair of buffers?
Yellow Curry Bun:
Food Effects: (30 minutes, All Races)
* Attack +20% (Cap: 75@375 Base Attack)
* Ranged Attack +20% (Cap: 75@375 Base Ranged Attack)
Alternate Food Effects: (30 minutes, Party size ≥ 4)
Same as above, with the following changes:
* Attack +20% (Cap: 85)
* Ranged Attack +20% (Cap: 85)
10 free attack.
Huh, go figure, I never noticed that before.
That's only for bun type of food?
As far as I know, all curries (including the bun forms) always had that kind of party-based hidden effect that scales up with party size. For example, Black Curry's defense bonus rises to 25% among other attributes (never determined whether there is a cap, though). Red Curry's attack bonus is supposed to rise from 23% to 25% (cap still 150 though).
Ah interesting, thank you.
Potentially silly question, but isn't it
Specific resistance number > MDT > MBD ~ non-specific resistance > INT
Thought that specific elemental builds often had a number where you could almost always reduce damage if not completely, similar to ~229 for Krabakota or what not?
For a general one it made sense, just wasn't sure what the actual priority was for resistance builds, thanks :D
Kind of a continuation from the derail of the gimp thread:
Which of these two builds is better?
1. http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/170362
2. http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/170367
I'm not even sure if either of those are good considering the low amount of accuracy, maybe I should stick to Pizza+1 on Sam.
