I've got a pretty shitty MDB set since I'm not a string 1 Paladin for my linkshell. I'm just tossing on w/e I can find, IR set, NQ coral earrings/rings, lamia mantle +1, lamian kaman. Always have Shell V on.

Lance.
Cap out mdt then wear the shield so that you dont have to lose tp when CB hits.
Its safe to say that ninja will never have higher delay reduction capabilities than dancer. Of the four current ninja-relevant DW enhancement pieces, you can only wear two without dropping your potential attack speed, and unless there's a massive overhaul in where we place our haste(or the amounts that are available in gear), I can't imagine where ninja would be putting any future boosts.
Conversely, dancer can wear all 10% of their additional DW, while still maintaining capped haste.
Ok sweet, thanks.
Yes, actually... I was not very creative in December 2007. And it's not going to be additional DW alone, but also other inevitable increases to damage capability that would accompany it.
The "point" is not that ninja will have comparable delay reduction potential than dancer. To be specific, ninja projects to have another level of DW mastery where DNC does not. Also, 23-24% equipment haste (nominal, not actual xxx/1024) is currently attainable and arguably viable (despite the inventory burden). There could be desirable increases to haste in existing haste slots that could permit additional DW in slots currently reserved for haste (where tradeoffs are appropriate). Alternatively, there could be additional DW in slots where it wouldn't supplant existing haste.
Yeah, I didn't get that, either. Admittedly, I use Counterstance somewhat less these days because of stuff like Lugarhoo's Fevered Pitch and being able to use Perfect Counter for most of my Ichi casting needs, but it's not like Counterstance is unusable or ill-advised in most contexts.
Honestly there was so much silly in his posts that I didn't wanna even try addressing some of it, such as the point you highlight.
Where does 6-hit OAT Kokushitsunotachi fall on the hierachy of great katana? I know it was posted a while back, but I can't find it now.
Behind relic, before most everything else I believe. (Assuming you're talking about the high base damage OAT version)
Amemet+1 vs Cuch vs Belenos' Mantle for Asuran Fists?
Weapon skill gear is
Destroyers/-/-/Tiphia Sting
Anwig Salade/Faith Torque/Merman Earring/Merman Earring
Shura Togi/Usukane Gote/Sniper Ring/Sniper Ring
?/Life Belt/Shura Haidate/Usukane Sune-ate
Anwig is typical attack/acc/WS acc/STR head. I understand I'm missing some important pieces like Black Tathlum (saving for it), Usukane Hizayaroi (35 doesn't exist), Usukane Haramaki (keep missing the runs where it drops) and a better belt like Virtuoso. I haven't completed ToAU yet (lulz) so no Aesir earring just yet, but given what I have to work with which would be best? Other recommendations are welcome as well.
Thanks for any input.
If you're using Marinara Pizza +1, you're going way overboard on Accuracy. If you're building towards a Yellow Curry Bun build, then either Belenos' Mantle or Cuchulainn's Mantle will round out that set well. Personally, I'd lean towards Cuchulainn's Mantle all things being equal, but Belenos' Mantle may be easier to acquire depending on your interest in dropping several million on a cape.
Also, I'd focus on getting a better weapon before worrying about tiny things. I wouldn't even bother with Black Tathlum with Thew Bomblet around. Even with a Yellow Curry Bun build, you should be able to cap off your Accuracy without Black Tathlum.
That's another thing I meant to ask but forgot about. With level 80, what are good attack -> accuracy trades? I was thinking I should break out my O Kotes instead of Usukane Gote, possibly Osode for Shura Togi as well, although I'm not sure if that one is worth it.
I tend to use yellow curry for the first few salvage floors and then swap to pizza for bosses, so I'll make a second macro for pizza situations. Thanks.
Indeed, I have been meaning to finish my Taipans and Ursine claws, but other obligations have kept me from making as much progress as I would like. Admittedly the prospect of Tornado Kick fests has shown in my progression of Ursines compared to Taipans.
EDIT: I have all three capes I asked about, so obtaining shouldn't weigh on any decisions.
You can feel free to look at my builds on FFXIAH if it suits you (link in sig), though I'm sure someone will probably find a problem here and there with them. I try to balance around 435ish Accuracy one way or another and I can achieve that very readily with Marinara Pizza (+1). Pushing to hit that without pizza gets a bit tricky. It's only a round number, though, and if you're getting Hunter's Roll or Blade Madrigal for some odd reason, it'd be easy.
I can say that for the first floors of Salvage, you can easily make swaps to Kirin's Osode and Ochiudo's Kote (though I personally favor Melee Gloves for the Subtle Blow and HP). I assume you have Rajas Ring and you should be full-timing that, even for your above WS build but I forgot to mention it. Oh, and where's your elemental gorget? Yovra are trivially easy to kill at level 80. What I've been told, and I may be wrong, is that the .1 fTP still beats out the 1 base damage you are getting from Faith Torque.
Anyhow, returning to your original question, I'd use Cuchulainn's Mantle. The 4 STR weighs heavier than the 8 Attack. Belenos' Mantle is really only helpful if the Store TP +2 boosts you to a new X-hit which, if you had full Usukane, I believe it would do with Rajas Ring and Brutal Earring.
At 80 you should be ok to eat meat for the entirety of Salvage. Whatever acc value you needed to cap on bosses before, subtract 20 from that value (level correction). Add in 22.5 acc from skill and that's more than an NQ pizza gave you right there over your old hitrate.
I lack Rajas at the moment in favor of Tamas for inventory space (was a poor RDM when I got it >_>). I'll be dropping it to get Rajas once I finish my Ursine Claws.
I have a Gorget but I'd heard the opposite; that the extra damage from Faith outdid the FTP bonus for Asuran (I'm unsure whether or not that's true for Howling Fist/Tornado Kick). If I heard wrong I'll change to my Soil Gorget.
Yeah, I'm not the one to figure that out and I can definitely see it going either way, so...
Faith Torque or elemental gorget for Asuran Fists at level 80?
Continue with Rutter Sabatons for Kaiten or switch to Perle Solerets?
