Damage reduction of shield blocks is based directly off of the shields def. Not supporting the worth of kaiser shield at all but that would be the main reason it would be used over Terror imo.

Buburimu gorget and augment more stuff. NQ Green Ribbons are a good augment item because they can get such high resist values augmented onto them, and if you're near the clothcrafting subcraft cap you can skill up on them.

You can probably use Nocturnus on all those, though Haubergeon might be mildly better on some of them in some situations.

What are some good RNG feet?

The only ones I could think of were AF2, Hachiryu, and Skadi. Is there anything else I'm missing? I don't really do dynamis and salvage anymore.

    Thanks.

    204 total STR+VIT, 102 WSC * 0.83 = 84

    109*0.83=90
107*0.83=88 and you can expect at least 2 fSTR (more than likely 3), so 90 again or 91 plus any gains from attack. Use Nhead.

I hate to beat the dead horse that is the Terror vs. Kaiser debate, but I've never understood the appeal of a Kaiser Shield. Terror will be measurably better every single time you take magical damage. No debate. Kaiser will be slightly better when you get take a physical hit. How much better will depend on the mob's str and attack, your vit, defense, and shield block rate (which will all depend on whether or not your had hit your "ohshit" macro in time), etc. Calculating the exact relative advantage would also have to account for the frequency you're actually getting hit with shadows down, which will depend on the mob, your support, your skill in recasting shadows, etc.

I'm sure there are situations when the vit and defense will make a difference, but every single tank takes magical damage at any fight that matters. Terror is better for maintaining enmity and survivability against magical damage and gives you 3-4 million you can spend on something useful. Including a Koenig Shield if you need Beast Killer or absolutely know that you're going to be blood tanking.
To make it clear, VIT and DEF are definitely underrated in this day and age of blink tanking, for sure.

There are plenty of physical moves that wipe shadows, too. Perhaps not as many as magical, but still. Aside from the aforementioned enmity loss (very, very slight due to +20 HP), Kaiser vs. Terror makes no difference for magical damage, I don't see why you insist Terror has the advantage for magical survivability? That's confusing me.

AoE Magical, if a hit goes through, Kaiser will reduce damage taken by it, even without shield block.

AoE Physical, if a hit goes through, again, Kaiser will reduce it.

Byakkos vs. Heca vs. AF2 for Raging Rush and King's Justice?

    My ws sets are:

    RR
    RC/pole/-/bomblet
    Heca/gorget/brutal/triumph or fenrir
    adaberk/heca/rajas/flame
    forager/war stone/???/heca

    KJ
    RC/pole/-/bomblet
    Heca/gorget/brutal/triumph or fenrir
    adaberk/alky/rajas/flame
    forager/war stone/???/heca

Elvaan, 5 str, 8 g.axe merits, not going to see any salvage drop soon

    Also, af2 hands: yay/nay?

For RR haidate is usually the end all be all, the exception being a case where you are capped acc and the heca pants put you at capped ddex.

As a suggetion, I think you will get more mileage out of warwolf than war stone for RR.

Also, if those are your only two sets, I would recommend making gressor up/down sets, and a dex set for stuff you can easily cap ddex/acc on.

Can get 117-118 dex (/sam and /nin) with WW belt, Byakkos and thunder ring. Guess that's good for birds and dynamis..? Till about half run in?

I'm usually on war for zergs, dyna (rarely), JoL, campaign and merits.

Goliard, regardless of job. 4-6 macc plus potential potency depending on the enfeeble in question versus a static 3 macc.
