It's subbed. It's also 2.0, NOT 2.22 FYI. As such it suffers a lot of the same problems 1.0 vs 1.11 had, its very dark in some scenes and others the animation quality is ... off a bit. The lower quality was only once or twice, but it was different enough to make me notice. The darkness....well, its like 1.0 vs 1.11. Once you get used to it not a problem, but the darker scenes loose detail.

Also make sure the theater in your are is still playing it tomorrow. The showing in Dallas ended last night, I was sort of surprised it wasn't completely empty. <3 the people making fun of Shinji after the credits.
