Well, if its the same iOS that currently available on iphone for devs...... then it is already jailbroken I believe.

I think it will be jailbroken pretty quickly, but again it will come down to if its a tethered jailbreak or not.

Question: When ordering the iPhone through Apples site, it allows me to keep my unlimited data plan, but doesn't recognize that my data plan also has 1500 texts attached. Do you think that if I keep my unlimited plan but decline texts (on the next page), that it'll keep my 1500 text plan that's part of my unlimited data plan?

So my brother ordered the phone for me as a surprise. Problem: he ordered the 3GS by mistake. He left me the "receipt" on the table and I looked at it and went from elated to "this isn't right" in an instant.

Now I'm on hold trying to reverse the order. Fun.

bestbuy preorders are worthless imo.. you get your name on a list and you get your phone in the slot you're on the list..

example. I preorder my phone at bestbuy and im #51 in line.

50 phones comes in and 50 phones get picked up, well I'm SoL until the next shipment comes in 2 weeks later or whatever.. Might as well just stand in line imo

I didn't select a voice or a text plan on the apple site. One, because the voice plan I have isn't even offered anymore, grandfathered plan, and two, I assumed it was only needed for making changes. If something screws up when the phone arrives, I guess I'll just call AT&T and make sure that no service changes are/were made.

I called AT&T and they said that the Unlimited plan with 1500 texts was only for the original iPhone, and that while I could keep the unlimited plan when upgrading, I'd have to get a separate text message plan.
