Anyone got a way to get MKV files onto iphone? Trying to get these movies on here... gonna post in app thread as well.
this is dumbbb! fucking jailbreak!
after fucking up 5+ times and having to restore like 7 times I finally got it! lol
On my 3G, I upgraded to iOS 4.0 and used my back up from 3.1.3. I had no issues(which I then proceeded to redsn0w)...I used the backup from my jailbroken 3g(4.0) on my iPhone 4.0 and had no issues there too...
On a separate note, I ended up buying a ghetto silicone case for my iPhone @ a kiosk in front of the Apple store today...that will have to hold me over till OtterBox releases their shit ;<
Hm, I can't seem to replicate the signal drop problem with the bottom left conner held... Maybe this is a hardware issue with some of the phones out there afterall?
have you tried the nickle test?
Just tried it (put the iphone on its side and put the nickel on top of the gap at the lower left hand corner) like this:
___ <- nickel
##############
############## <- iphone
##############
##############
and it passed, 3G signal still good.
lucky bastard, i want a flawless phone too
I started reading about this issue... some people mentioned that it may have to do with signal strength of the tower around you too...
Went to wait in line at apple store, got in line at 6am.
About 75 people in front of me, was out at 9 am.
Apple rep activated the phone on the upgrade line, then they brought us over to a At&t rep stationed at the apple store to transfer the phone to the destination line.... then transfer 2 other phones around.
Not bad for 3 hours lol
Also, light testing seems I do not have one of those iphones with a bad radio.
fedex require signature?
yes, apple requires it.
but you can pre-sign it and have them leave the package there (go to your apple store order status to do it)
Yeah but thats just asking for a fedex guy to walk away with the box.
I can't reproduce the damn signal drop at work. Strange, maybe it does have to do with proximity to the towers.
I have a first gen iPhone and the same reception issues happen. Funny thing is I never noticed till a friend told me about the 4G's issues. It's not as bad as the 4G though, If i hold it, it loses 2 bars at the most. Place it back on a table and it gains them back. So definitely not something "new."
http://apple.slashdot.org/story/10/0...%28Slashdot%29"Apple is suing HTC again over patent infringement. Apple is adding two new patents to the 20 included in the earlier case while adding additional details to two patents included previously. Although Android is not mentioned in any of the court documents, many of the patent infringement complaints refer to the software rather than the hardware that HTC manufactures, leading to speculation that Google is the real target, especially considering that Android sales are surpassing the iPhone's. With HTC countersuing Apple, Microsoft siding with HTC over Android, and Apple trying to stop import of Nokia phones, it seems like Apple has set off a patent Armageddon in the mobile space."
Multi-touch can't be yours and yours alone forever, Apple.
