Got it... love it... thought it had a removable battery
I got a email mine shipped today but my money is still in my bank >.> free?
how is MobileMe? Sounds cool and can only imagine it being good but im just not sure i want to spend the money for it
Just got back from the Apple Store in Durham, NC with my 32 GB iPhone 4. I arrived at 11:45 PM, and was approximately 70th in line. I would estimate the line ended up being around 500 people. I got my iPhone around 12:15 PM today, so about a 12:30 wait for me. Some preorder people who got there around 8 AM were getting their phones as I was getting mind. They allowed into the store 10 pre-orders for everyone 1 walk up, which was a major reason for the delay in getting my phone. Eventually that bumped that up to 2 to 1.
I'm happy with my phone, but I will never, ever do a launch day tech device again.
Congrats to all those who got one, and good luck and patience to those who don't have one yet.
Until the next major iPhone upgrade....
I should also add that when I have the rubber Apple bumper on my phone, I can hold it and not lose any bars. It may be that your hand acts an a conductor, connecting the two separate radios built into the outside band. The rubber bumper prevents this connection.
Just a shot in the dark.
About yellow stains...
Posted on appleinsider forums.apple is using a bonding agent called organofunctional silane z-6011 to bond the layers of glass. apparently, apple (or more likely foxconn) is shipping these products so quickly that the evaporation process is not complete. however, after one or two days of use, especially with the screen on, will complete the evaporation process and the yellow "blotches" will disappear. how do i know? i was involved in pitching z-6011 to apple.
On engadget they said having a rubber bumper holder thingy for your phone prevents the signal drop problem.
That would seem to confirm my explanation.
Any advice on good covers for the iPhone? Or good films for the front, for anti-glare and better finger gliding?
so i guess any kind of cover would prevent signal loss.. now to wait until somebody produces a half way decent one and hope i dont drop this bitch before then
I always had major issues getting one of those screen protectors on my 3g. Always a spec of dust or a tiny hair would get underneathe it, or a fingerprint. Fuck those things.
I'm sure most people are waiting for Otterbox for iphone4, even though it's huge like xbox and weighs 2lbs it's the best thing on the market. I am kind of interested in a bumper though just for fun. Switcheasy? should have a new Rebel out soon as well.
I love switch easy, i buy all my iphone/ipad accessories from there. just waiting for the new products
I don't like otterbox but that's probably going to be what I go with for my iphone4. The switcheasy nudes sure are sick though.
bestbuy has some belkin cases..
does it cover the buttons tho?

I ordered a full body skin, I think I'm just going to go skin + bare. The otterbox I had on my 3G was bulky, and I never really dropped my phone.
something about that post was mildly arrousing![]()
I'm afraid to go to best buy or my ATT store...
Going to be packed and a bunch of fags trying to steal my shit when they see me rolling out with a Belkin case
Got mah iPhone, after a MASSIVE fiasco (I cannot stress this enough - it turns out that not bringing the correct ID really is a problem...) Just spending what little money I have left on some apps. Any suggestions besides the absolute obvious (iMovie, Hipstamatic, Angry Birds...)?
SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW :>
I got mine today, love it. I read that FedEx required signature (or at least Apple does), but I just heard a knock, went to the door, and the box was sitting on the ground. I never signed for it.
By the way, I messed around with holding the phone in different ways to lose signal, and my phone appears to be unaffected. I've only done this for a few calls, so hopefully I lucked out.
ATT told me to wait 2hrs for my service to actually kick in.
