I ordered a full body skin, I think I'm just going to go skin + bare. The otterbox I had on my 3G was bulky, and I never really dropped my phone.

I dropped my 3g a few times but nothing drastic, usually I was able to get a hand out or a knee/foot and slow down the drop somewhat. It had a tiny crack on the back plastic, a few scratches on the edges, but thats it. Not sure if I can justify a 50$ otterbox that is a monster in size.

If anyone has any of the slim cases like the belkin, or the rubber bumpers or whatever, and can give input on those (just to protect from minor scratches and nicks) I'd really appreciate it.

I'm really waiting for Switcheasy's iphone4 line, the nude looks so sickkkk.

Got mah iPhone, after a MASSIVE fiasco (I cannot stress this enough - it turns out that not bringing the correct ID really is a problem...) Just spending what little money I have left on some apps. Any suggestions besides the absolute obvious (iMovie, Hipstamatic, Angry Birds...)?

lol I also had a bit of a fiasco. Try getting your phone a day early, plugging it in and finding out you cant activate it. Then try restoring it to factory settings 3 times (even though its right out of the box), trying it on 2 different pc's, trying a hard reset, trying to uninstall itunes entirely and reinstalling, going to the att store just to be told "we dont have itunes 9.2 yet sorry cant help you" then coming home to try some random 3rd party app so that I could root it and delete an itunesDB file --- then it working perfect.

For apps. Facebook, ibooks, att my wireless (to pay bills from phone fast), doodlejump, plants vs zombies, pandora radio, espn radio.

I got mine today, love it. I read that FedEx required signature (or at least Apple does), but I just heard a knock, went to the door, and the box was sitting on the ground. I never signed for it.

uh, they better not drop it on my doorstep and leave. the whole neighborhood will have done walking their dogs and post dinner strolls before i get home tonight

have you tested it without the bumper on? because some people are reporting that the bumper doesn't really make a difference, it's just if you got a good device or a defective one

I have tested it without the bumper, and experience the same problem others were having. I know as much as everyone else, but I seriously doubt it's a defective/non-defective thing.

Meh.. is it really a problem? I mean 99% of america will use a case for their phone anyhow. If you dont use a case and you go into a rant about your signal, I hope you drop your phone. You'll be off a lot worse then

edit: is there something I have to do with itunes and my 3g's simcard? i'm reading you have to transfer "the old sim to the new one" but one is a microsim and the other isn't

As far as activation goes it takes a while then the phone just switches over (you'll need to reboot the 4 to get it to work). I just waited for my 3g to lose signal then knew it had switched.
