How do I use installous?

I find item I want, I click download. It says it downloaded. I try to install, missing or invalid IPA or something. What do I do here?

I've had some issues with some pirated apps (namely I am T-Pain 1.5? I think, the latest update for it). Use an older version

Ipa is the actual item your downloading, as all apps use the .ipa file extension.

What the other poster was trying to say, is when you click download there should be a list of multiple mirrors and multiple versions.

If you tried all the mirrors for one version, then try to use a older version that's still hosted.

Sometimes files just don't work, and can sometimes be a trial/error process as to which link works

Everything I've tried to download has only had one mirrior/version lmao. Oh well.

Got one to work, thank you. Was trying to make sure there wasn't anything extra to do or any additional hoops to jump through.

apptrackr.org > find the app you want > download > open up SSH > drag the .ipa file into var/mobile/documents/installous/downloads. Fire up Installous on the phone, go to the downloads tab and install it.

The gba emulator is fucking wonderful.

Golden Sun 1 + 2 runs flawlessly. The N64emu was pretty bleh, most of the roms didn't load and if they did, it barely functioned. Looked good though.

Bumpedy-bump.

Kind of senseless bump but: I've had my Otterbox Defender for about a month and a half now and overall I'm very happy with it, but the silicone casing is getting loose...so I'm looking into a hard-shell case. The Otterbox Impact might be interesting but it hasn't been released yet. So I basically wanted to know which case you use and/or whether you have the same issue with your Defender case.

your rubber is getting lose too? I've only had mine for like 2 weeks. I hate the material the outter case is made out of, it grabs dusty, dog fir and everything and wont let go of it.

luckily mine only cost 18 dollars, so i'll just keep buying them!

fucking love working for a sprint retailer and using our aftermarket accessories dealer for iphone accessories.

iPad otterbox is still 45 tho!

Yeap, it's a bootrom exploit that is compatible across all current Devices (afaik). The only way to render it completely useless, is to release a new device. Of course, it will still break every firmware update, but all they need to do is update the code and we're good to go, as opposed to finding a completely new exploit from scratch.

They started that rumor over 2 years ago, and continue to throw it out there every 6 months it seems.

So, don't hold your breath.... so far they have been wrong with there iphone/verizon stuff 4-5 times now lol

If you truely want to de-bunk this one as well. WSJ is claiming the new phone will be released first quarter 2011. So unless Apple is breaking their tradition of releasing phones during the same quarter (not q1) then that seems kind of false.

Also a few months ago the verizon CEO was quoted saying that a Verizon iphone would have to be for their LTE network only. With the verizon LTE network becoming operational soon, why would they make a CDMA iphone?

If they're wanting it to be exclusive to their LTE network then they'll never get it. No way ATT is going to let it go, they'd lose to many customers to the next gen iPhone imo

so would the CDMA iphone be a new model than the current iPhone 4? and will they keep making new models for ATT? I can sleep worry free knowing that I'll keep be getting new iPhone models on ATT!
