I would honestly suggest a netbook over a phone for that. Even the best smartphones are not very good at data creation.

He was looking for something that could go in the pocket. Thats why it was either smartphone, or touch and avoid the data plan that he doesn't want.

Jailbroke my phone and grabbed Elite, now to wade through modmyi forums to find how to play with them @_@;

Edit: Holy fuck were you not kidding about Elite's lockscreen lagging. How do i fix that shit? lol

Well, whats better? That's my question. Would a smartphone be better, like a droid/incredible/iphone or would a touch be fine?

Mine stopped lagging for the most part but there is still some lag in the phone since using the UI. It was almost impossible to type out a post the other night from it, which has never been a problem before.

Only "lag" issues I have with Elite is the lockscreen, and again, that's not a problem with the theme but with Winterboard. That will be fixed soon though I hope.

And Boyiee, by better, I mean in the end he is gonna wish he didn't go a phone route.

It has to be pocketable and his PDA just isn't cutting it with newer technology and apps and shit, so it's either phone or touch.

how do you forget that. SBSettings is like the #1 reason I jailbreak. My most hated thing unjailbroken is swiping my screen trying to turn things off

And I forgot the name of it, thought it was bigboss or whatever but that never worked with ios4 so I never bothered to start looking for whatever it really was. Not a necessity for me at all. I just like being able to control ssh and 3g/wifi easier.

I have 4.1 OS on my 3G, how do I downgrade or whatever? Or are there other alternatives aside from jailbreakme.com? The HD Elite skin is sexy.

I'm having problems getting the Suave HD icons to work.
Basically, only the calendar icon shows up. All of the rest are the same.

Any tips on how I can get them to show?

So Apple delayed the White Iphone 4 again (lol) till Spring 2011. Just fuckin trash the idea and make sure Iphone 5 white is rdy at launch, nobody who has 1/2 a brain would buy a new Iphone in Spring when Iphone 5 is just a few months away.
