Hold them down with the fingers that should be hitting them normally. You hold both down with the respective pinkies and then type...simple.

Because you only use your pinkies for hitting the shift key. Right.

Funnily I had EXACTLY the same problem with my one of them - buggy piece of shit (the original one it replaced had no problems at all - apart from numerous vodka and oranges spilt on it)
