Get to take physical fitness tests that have half the standards of males and receive the same score and get promoted based on that score?

Can end a male's career simple through accusation.

Will get promoted faster, for doing less.

Get paid the same, but dont have to (some would say dont get to) do any of the dangerous combat jobs.

Can leave deployment for getting pregnant.

Wouldn't she get in huge trouble for sleeping with someone while deployed, though?

I can't find the thread itself, but I think I recall some of those in the military here talking about how common it was for a women to get pregnant for the purpose of getting out of combat, but again, not 100% so I could be totally backwards on that.

I get the impression you haven't really dug into this issue that much. Or maybe you just slapped something together to post. Maybe I can help to clarify some important things.

When someone talks about "equality" they're usually talking about egalitarianism. You should probably touch upon egalitarianism at some point if you really want to flesh the issue out. Egalitarianism is the idea that all groups of people should be equal economically, socially, politically, etc. And it's everywhere, there's no shortage of examples.

But it's crucial to discern between equality before the law, and equality in all other ways. Equality in law is the proper approach, and it's this idea that egalitarians use to make their notions feel as though they're correct. Unfortunately when most minority groups get a little bit of power, they often segue from securing the type of rights they had previously lacked (e.g. desegregation, voting rights of women, or gay marriage, etc.), into getting special treatment based solely on discriminating them from the others. Such as racial hiring quotas, reparations, government subsidies merely for being a "minority", etc.

At that point you can talk about the concrete instances where women get preferential treatment to others. But I think you should touch upon the underlying reasons to begin with.

Alimony is the biggest I've seen personally, I worked with massive amounts of wage garnishment documents, many of them for back-owed child support. The amounts of alimony that women had to pay to the rare cases of men who won custody were minuscule fractions of what men with similar income had to pay. I recall seeing one where a woman had not paid her child support and was getting her wages garnished for it...the guy was only rewarded $16 a week while the woman made $32k/year.

Get out of jail free card. We cant discriminate against them, so they just get to stay home. Or even better, get knocked up on your leave right before deployment -> Spend couple weeks there -> get combat patch -> get sent home and get full credit for deployment for future promotions! Fuck ya!

What I think is funny is that people still don't get that "The Feminine Mystique" was a book that mostly flamed women for being retarded.

I don't know how serious of a topic this is, but you can always go the nightclub route, how women get no cover charge, women can enter clubs at 18 when men enter at 21, drink specials for chicks, ladies' nights, etc. etc.

Ya, that shit is nuts. You hear about a ship about to get deployed and all of the sudden liek a good 25% of the women are prego. Like Neo said, they get to stay ashore, work some desk job, get FREE leave for up to a month i believe to have the kid, and get put back at some kushy desk job half the time. Plus the babies daddy is hers. Ridiculously stupid how a girl can RUIN a guys career over a lie cause she doesnt want to look like a slut, or even a civie chick can take a guy for all hes worth ( literally liek 3/4 months pay ) from a divorse, even if she CHEATED and he can prove it. How women seem to have more rights than men do. When it comes to things like domestic violence, rape, and child custody, women have far more rights than men.

Domestic violence I would have to say both male and female are equal.

If there are signs of a guy beating his wife, the guy gets locked up.......

if there are signs of a girl beating her husband, the guy gets locked up.....

and under select cases, both can get locked up under certain circumstances.


Divorce it all depends as well, my current girlfriend would be a somewhat prime example woman don't always make out in divorce.

She divorced a lawyer, who makes about 300-400k/year. They have 2 children, and end result of the divorce was she would receive 2k/week for child support....... and she gets the house for a year, while he pays the mortage on it still. After the year has passed the house is sold and he keeps the money from the sale. Once the children hit the age of 18, child support stops and then she gets nothing pretty much.

So woman don't always make out in divorce
