    My content ID is MIA O.o

    I logged into my account and hit "play" on the FFXI main menu, and the system tells me I have no "content ID". I do not recall at all deleting any of my content IDs, nor have I given out any account info to allow unauthorized access.

    Anyone had this issue before or currently having this issue? I have already sent an email to SE, but would like some insight from the community.

    I am gonna be a sad person if my character has been deleted...; ;

    If it's been hacked it's wierd to say the least that they decided to delete it. Kind of defeats the purpose of going through the trouble of getting the ID in the first place.

    You also get that message when your id's get canceled for no payment/insufficient funds.

    Like if you have no money in your bank account and the charge goes in but gets denied.

    Make sure you check your bank to see when they collected their last payment. Then in POL, check each month's payment details for the months that you show no payment collected from your bank account. It will tell you if your content id's are canceled and no $ info will be in there for the months that they could not collect payment from you.

    If you did have a negative balance and the payment got denied for insufficient funds, you need to choose: re-register your card's payment info with a card that has money in it and then choose : re activate content id's for all of your character names. Trying to re-register your content id's before re registering your payment info will give you an error stating that you need to re register payment info.

    If you did a chargeback, you have to get a new card as far as I know.

    If you don't have a visa that is secure code or 3d secure or the mastercard secure id's you need to either get one or do it the slow way with one that does not have it.

    The slow way is calling customer service and following instructions to prove that your card is good to go.

    Happened to me as well. Bank didn't deny card or anything, and I didn't get any messages in POL saying my card was declined or anything.

    All I had to do was go through the Support option in POL and completely re-enter my CC info and go through Secure 3D again and I got my account back. Really weird, though.

    Well I re-input my CC info and proceeded in reactivating my Content IDs. everything on my character looks straight though I swear I have 200k less gil than the 900k last time I logged on and yet I still have all my gear.

    Don't know why SE's system would cancel the IDs when I know the CC had plenty of money on it.

    Happened all the time to me and some of my friends.
    And the gil thing is probably just your imagination

    Not sure if this is your situation or not but:

    Check the news and information thread here. SE's system was attacked and some users passwords were compromised so SE reset passwords of the effected accounts. The full info is in this thread with the official bulletin posted.

    This may have been the reasoning behind my Content IDs going AWOL. SE may have simply canceled the IDs as a precautionary to keeping my character safe.

    How do you go about deactivating your content ID without getting rid of everything forever? Just want to take a break.
    Just use cancel content ID? Or does that get rid of it so you cannot get it back?

    Sorry never dealt with any of this before..

    Just use cancel Content ID.

    This also happened to me earlier this month. I was able to log in fine on the 1st, but not on the second due to not having an active content ID. I believe it was related to the attack but my password was never rest or changed; it simply remained the same.

    I ended up just updated my region info and then updated my CC info and was able to get back in after I reactivated. At the time I thought it was just due to the region not being setup on my SE account, but it is possible it was just because of the attack.

    Everything was good to go when I got back in, nothing I noticed was missing or anything like that.
