Sensibly capitalized sequel news now, with the long-rumored and impatiently awaited inFAMOUS 2 Infamous 2 making a bold debut on the cover of July's Game Informer. The ten-page magazine feature reveals that the developers at Sucker Punch are taking their current superhero to a new city, granting him new powers and -- judging by the cover art -- casting him in a surprisingly different aesthetic. Is that really Cole MacGrath? Seems more like a Cole MacPleasure, doesn't he?

Expect to hear more about Infamous 2 at E3 2010.

Was the first PS3 game I ever played, so I guess nostalgia-loyalty has be excited for this one. Not sure why they decided to make Cole look like default-Shepard, though. Seeing this reminded me that I need to play the first one again as a bad guy. :D

My first playthrough was as bad cole. It felt so much easier because you could blow shit up without worrying too much about anything.

I tried to go through it again as good cole but I just couldn't do it.

Yeah I actually planned to do it good then bad. Use good on normal or whatever the default difficulty is, then play as a bad Cole on hard for trophies since it'd be easier without worrying about hitting civilians.

That's what I did. It's the best thing to do, since by the second play-through, you're a little tired of it, so not being careful is fun.

fuck yes. seeing how the 1st one ended it will be interesting to see where they go with the story. just hope they give us more of the same with a few tweaks

Regardless, am curious how they're playing off the story this time around. I was hoping they'd continue with the dark side of the story since it's what the name of the game implies, but perhaps they may tackle both sides this time a la Mass Effect 2 rather than (major spoiler alert for those who haven't beaten inFamous yet)

only having the one pivotal decision near the end of inFamous1 actually determine whether you got the good or bad ending, regardless of your 'decisions' throughout the game right up to that point. Granted, I want to see more of future Cole in inFamous 2

Also, here's to hoping for a 'neutral' set of powers. That was one of the things the game felt it really lacked. You either went good, or evil, as there was no benefit to being an inbetweener as one side's powers were locked off if you decided to shift your morale to the other side.
(not to mention the good/evil side-quests could only be done once for the one side)
