    Fuck the rocket launcher dudes who'll shoot at you point blank. Doing this mission where I have to take out a chopper, 2 conduit mobs, and an army of the monsters and military guys. Nearly beat it (hard difficulty), but one ass decided to shoot two rockets at me in a row point blank, wtf.


    Going to miss my sticky grenades on evil playthrough.

    Just beat this on my good playthrough today. For some reason, I ended up around 3k xp shy of being able to get all my good powers. I've added up everything that I missed and it doesn't get me anywhere near what I need for my last power up. This happen to anybody else? Or did I just screw it up somehow?

    You playing on hard difficulty? XP reward is lower on it, and you'd either have to do some additional farming afterwards (dunno what the easy route for that is in inFamous2, UGC missions perhaps?).

    I had no trouble maxing out on my normal playthrough. In my hard I'm just trying to kill enemies with as many stunts as possible all throughout the game so I don't have to grind at the end. By that I mean, I'm killing things while climbing as often as I can. I blast enemies off roofs as often as I can.

    You can do some UGC missions to get XP. They can be easy farming from what I hear

    If you purchase powers in UGC missions you get them for free btw. It doesn't carry over your used up xp.

    But man, evil side gets the shaft on the powers. Both ice launch and frost shield are so much better than fire dash and spawning babies :/

    I rarely used frost shield, but ice launch and ice rocket are just too good. When I finally got the laso ability i hardly used it because of ice launch

    Yeah the lasso was great on evil side, but I feel like I won't need it on good. I've found the shield useful against a couple things like the giant monster ball things they shoot out.

    Haven't gotten far enough to get ice rocket yet. Ice grenades are really good too since they blow up instantly and more often than not get you kills.

    Well shit, no alternative to ice launch for evil? That's my favourite addition to inFamous2 by far, makes it a hell lot less of a chore moving up one floor/getting on riding wires.

    The alternative is fire dash, which launches you forward horizontally so its no good for climbing buildings.

    Cluster grenades are the most OP thing I have ever seen in a game. Beat the final boss (good side) just now in like 30 seconds from spamming them.. Got all dead drops and blast shards first playthrough so can just power through an evil one w/o needing to do everything. Not looking forward to having to do 25 UGC (or w/e they are called) missions. Do the dev made ones count towards that total or do they have to be all user generated?

    The dev ones do count. I just did them in my first playthrough and got all 25.

    I don't know what happens in the good ending, but you said it was sad. Well the evil ending is sad too <_<

    The good ending ends with a lightning bolt hitting the boat Zeke has Cole on, safe to say thats teasing him coming back to life, especially since the Evil choice has conduits living.

    Yeah, but if he came back to life what would be left? All conduits are dead. I mean they can come up w/ w/e they want to. I just took the ltng bolt to be a hero send-off type of thing.. it's significance is that Cole was the Lightning man. More of a symbolic type of thing.

    I missed the flash screen that had a lightning bolt in the form of a question mark though. It wasn't the giant lightning bolt, but I turned away after the credits to let them roll so I prolly missed it then.

    Infamous 3: Hunted by the world for the conduit deaths, Cole gets Kessler's time warp ability and decides to go back in time to do w/e (prevent Kessler from setting off the ray sphere and starting all this, destroying the first sons, saving Trish etc etc. I'm sure w/ a few writers in a room they could come up w/ something compelling, and this way they are able to branch both good and bad endings together (maybe just have 2 unique prologues for his motivations for going to the past)

    Overall I was a bit disappointed at the lack of large landmark battles that inFamous1 had that I mentioned earlier in the thread. There wasn't really anything too memorable outside of perhaps riding on top of a fucking nuke while Zeke gets it into position.


    Didn't really try too much for missions since I was playing on hard (less XP, savin' them for after I beat it). Got more done than I thought though, as I only got 25 side quests to do, 5 dead drops to find, and just 40 blast shards left. Should be an easy platinum for me as I stroll along on an evil playthrough on easy just to speed things up.

    'tis a shame that once again, SuckerPunch has still yet to learn that cutscenes need a pause/skip option



    Are there any shortcuts to getting between the two main cities btw? There's a complete lack of rail system in the 2nd island, makes it a bitch to get around quickly. Those medical clinics would have been nice if they acted as a quick-travel system also.

    Nearly all of the cutscenes are skippable except for the cutscenes involving you making a choice, weren't they?
