I had to bust out a map of all shards locations and check them off one by one before I found them all. That last 3% are a doozy.

Hopefully they'll at least give us a stats screen this time around that'll note how many shards are left in each district so we're not left wandering the *entire* city for 1-3 pieces.


I want to smack Insomniac for all the retailer specific pre-order bonuses though. Just hoping my EB Games has their code in when I pick up my pre-order next month.

If you enjoyed inFamous 1, for the love of fucking god go download the demo of #2 now. Having more fun with this than I did the majority of the first game. Shit going to get insane if they start you off this powerful from the get go.

Much better flow to the controls now, easier to scale buildings, and momentum is kept when leaping from power line to power line.

Also, a heads up to those that haven't beaten inFamous1, the intro video that plays in the inFamous2 demo is a bit spoilerific.

Just played the demo. Oh my god that was epic. I love the improved flying ability. I love that you can destroy parts of buildings now. I love the slightly improved melee combat with the finishers. I love the improved graphics. This has got me started on my unfinished Infamous 1 good guy file now.

But I hate Cole's new voice.

Anyone else having issues with the demo audio? Dl'd twice and each time there is no voices in the opening sequence and in the cutscenes later on you can hear them talking but its so low its just a mumble, also most the game is without any background music? Any clues?

Wanted to hold out on buying this because i'm getting a backlog of games I still need to complete. But played the demo and it looks amazing, been playing through the first one again as good guy and hoping to platinum it by the time the 2nd one releases

Figures I play an hour before I realize the inFamous1 trophy bonus only applies to new games. Had to insert my inFamous1 disc and boot it up before inFamous2 would see my data for some reason, so I'm stuck replaying the first bits. Shame there's no skip-cutscene option still.

Loving the game, got over the new voice. They managed to improve everything and give every old power a great new twist. Dunno why but I'm also enjoying the extra hoop we have to jump through to unlock powers before we can buy them. Great game so far, can't believe there's also fire and ice powers to play with later on. Also digging the little nod to having to rebuild his friendship with Zeke. The opening was bad ass.

Also, while I'm loving the game and will prob beat it in the next ~2hrs, it feels like its missing something storywise relative to the first game.

All the stuff about the plague seems tangential in this game, and the only reason I can think of is that Trish isn't around? Maybe they should have started you off in Floodtown first? Additionally, the plot in general seems so much less elegant relative to the first, they telegraphed so many of the plot twists in this game from the start, not like with the first where you were legit WTF???? when you found out you were Kessler. Also, missing the comic book cut scenes this time, I think they did something for the game as well.

Also the karma system is okay imo, I regularly let loose w/ ion tornados or mass explosions that kill civilians and still have perfect good karma. I just wish Infamous in general gave more of a difference between being truly evil and just being ruthless but still good natured (Mass Effect style kind of?)

^ When you get Champion or Guardian status (forget which), your abilities do like no dmg to civilians. You really gotta try to kill them.

I haven't had a chance to play much, and when I do I get sidetracked looking for shards or doing random trophies, but whats the meter on your melee stuff for? Also.. trying to get the kill 50 guys in the powered down areas (w/o having mission to take you there) is pretty ruthless this time around. Getting thrashed left and right.

Oh yeah.. blast shards are just as hard to track as the first game and they even made dead drops harder to track There is no achievement for getting all dead drops for X island this time
