I never had issues with the tranquilizer gun killing people either. I got the Pacifist trophy, so I'm pretty sure I didn't miss something with it. Definitely was at least one quest that specified takedown only though, so maybe that?

The only quest I remember saying "take down only" was the quests where you had to help the police capture criminals; and Tranquility Gun did work on those.

I think it might be because Tranquil gun - like the Stun Gun - DOES do damage. So if the enemy is already hurt, Tranquil Gun can end up killing them. You can actually kill the first boss with Stun Gun and Tranquil Gun, if you have enough ammunition.

There was one quest where you could opt to kill someone and make it look like an accident, and it specifically said the tranquilizer wouldn't work because it'd leave evidence.

Also; I can imagine the "never get spotted by enemies" bonus is very hard to get. Especially in the last area where each one has like 30 hostile civilians that attack you in a small corridor without any hiding spots. I had to charge through it under camouflage and the "run without producing sound" augmentation, and still got detected when I opened the elevator

The Ghost achievement is "You made it through an entire hostile area without making so much as a squeak." so you only need to get it for one mission, although it's 500 exp so can be useful to try and get it every time. I think I made it through all of the final section w/o getting hostile as well (including getting to Sarif), need to use cloaking though and there are paths you can take to minimize visual contact.

There's set off no alarms achievement, but that is much easier to do.

My killshot on the 1st boss was by the stun gun, so I'm sure it does damage. But I don't remember any1 dying just from it.

i hate that moving bodies can kill them. I knocked out a rich woman, and a janitor in Jensen's apartment building, then put them in a scandalous position in the elevator. came back and saw they were dead, like 5 hours later, and was like, WELL SHIT.

Just picked this up off steam a few days ago and finally got time to sit down and play it. I'm a little disappointed in how my computer runs it. During that opening place where you are, it hit a few spots where FPS dropped to like, 5 for an entire hallway and it consistently happened there. It's when you jump over the boxes taking up the entire hallway, make a left and you see 3 guards in the room to the left with windows showing the room, and the city scape on the right side. It becomes unplayable until I get to the end of that hallway by the door.

I'm not sure which drivers I currently have on the desktop, but what's the deal here?

I don't have space on my SSD now, but should I put it on there? Pretty sure thats just for load time but Idk, I kinda wish I got it on PS3 cause this lag makes me not want to even continue on with it.

Try disabling SASO, it's a big CPU/GPU hog. You may encounter a persistent stuttering problem (I know I have it), and apparently it's an issue with the game's engine, not a hardware- or driver-specific issue.

EDIT: Turning Direct X11 off did not work, running as admin did not work. Changing affinity in Processes did not work.

EDIT EDIT: Got it working finally, verified the cache and apparently 500 mb was missing cause after I did that it downloaded another 500 mb of w/e and now the game works fine. Fucking...

I'm running an i7 860 @2.80, 6gigs ram, and an ati radeon 5770 and the games been running flawlessly for me and looks absolutely amazing. Haven't really experienced any FPS drops or lag.

Latest patch over Steam definitely removed the stuttering issue for me and also improved the FPS efficiency.

So I actually finished the game this time. I really didn't like the whole "choose your ending" thing. They were all kinda meh.

I'm having an issue, and I believe I might be stuck in part of the game and have to start over, I've tried goggling to no avail. I'm on the "Hacking The Hacker" mission inside the hive, when I talked to the "Manager" upstairs, I was not able to persuade him into bringing me to Tong (I know he is tong already), so I wen't downstairs to the bartender and picked up the side quest. I completed the side quest, turned it in, and now my mission marker is still the bartender, the only dialogue options I have are buy drinks or leave, I've tried buying all the drinks. Talking back to the manager upstairs he just tells me "I have customers to take care of" and ignores me. Both my last save and auto save are AFTER turning in the side quest with the bartender thus not allowing me to proceed in the story... halp!

Checking my mission log under side quests for the side quest from the bar tender shows every thing is completed except for the part about giving the money back to the bartender. It says "I have the money from Jaya, give it back to Bao at the hive" but I don't have any option to give the guy the money...

I have level 3 hacking, and I would need 4 to hack into the basement, which is the next part in the story, and I'm not even sure if the dude will be down there if I get there. I'm 340 XP away from my next upgrade, so I'm scouring the city for hidden spots I haven't found and safe's to open to hopefully get enough to get level 4. I already bought 1 from the limp clinic, I'm short on money, and I got the free one all the way at the bottom of all those ladders in the apartment.

edit2: well I found enough hidden areas to get another praxis, got the level 4 upgrade, and then ended up finding the security code for the sewer door anyway lol, so I seem to have unstuck myself, but somehow missed out on the reward of the side quest with the bartender.
