Man, I was only lukewarm towards Russel before but that was fantastic. He just rocketed up to one of my favorite villains. Not just the speech, but because his revenge against the Vampire League wasn't killing Nan, it was destroying everything she and the League worked for on the eve of their success. Glorious.

But wtf them dragging out what Sookie is, shit got annoying ages ago. Franklin getting staked, wow. And Sam kicking the shit out of the dad was awesome, been waiting so long for him to grow a pair and finally kick some ass.

I loved the thing they had goin on with Eric, I was sooooooooooooo looking forward to him going out and kickin some vampire ass like that scene in the bar was making it out to be. I was getting so pumped up, that was my favorite scene in the entire season...until Russell finished the episode XD. As much as the finale scene in the episode was pure fucking win, I'm still sad that now Eric is probably gonna have all this extra help taking Russel out.

This, but I like what they are doing. They can still keep the basic premise of most books in line (I want to see the vampire wedding - not rly a big spoiler).

Fuckin Franklin though, I knew he was gonna die but I kind of liked his crazy'ness.
Tommy is getting on my nerves, I hope he doesn't become a season regular. He just seems like that immature tough guy kid who gets away w/ everything. I think it's too late for him to "grow on me." So much overall win in this episode, Russel was amazing in every scene... though I was expecting him to drink Talbot :3

Did anyone else think that the music in the Arlene/New Waitress scene made the new girl seem like a bad guy? :S

I was thinking the same thing, Eternity. It even almost got ominously dark, like a pre-cursor to something bad happening. Was strange as she seemed to have good intentions. Guess we'll see!

Oh, and it got oddly dark looking (to me) when Tara and her were in the church together.

I feel like going back and rewatching the fangtasia scene where they give Eric his epic revenge mission. Shit was awesome.

Also, loved seeing emotion between Pam and Eric this episode. It was nice/touching. It gave more feelings toward Pam/Eric relationship.

Good episode and such but count me among those annoyed with how mysterious they're trying to be about "what" Sookie is. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't constantly mention it. At least there's almost no way to dance around the subject in the next episode.

my prediction of the new waitress is that shes trying to turn all of sookies friends against her for whatever reason. i'm thinking she's already got tara and arlene. even if that's not close, something is up w/ the waitress and will probably arc over next season, because they gave her too much screen time to be a random person

I haven't been able to really get into this season. One thing that bothers me to no end is Russell is supposed to 3000 years old. He looks 50+ and people rarely live to 50 back then and how does a 3000 year old guy develop a cheesy southern accent.

I hoped True Blood would get better with each season but it has gotten worse.

Maybe it's an affectation he took on when he started his plan for world domination, to look all nice and harmless on the surface. I thought his German accent came out strong in the uh, crying over Talbot's remains scene, and a couple of times after - or maybe my volume was too low >.>
