if your worried about the screen, just buy an otter box for it. Downside is your iphone with triple in size. Plus side is the damn thing is practically indestructible (except the holster, i managed to break that -_-)

I've dropped my iphone dozens of times and my screen was fine.

I've dropped my phone tons of times as well, but i've had a jelly case/screen protector before leaving the store.

My 2 sisters however, have spiderwebbed both their 3g phones after 1-2 drops. (except the sister that dropped hers in a beer.........somehow lol)

Ya, but when you cover: battery life, processor, memory, camera, applications, programming, screen display, size/orientation, 6 axis control, antenna design, an entirely new updated OS, and then go into a plethora of apps... I'd say 3/8 isnt too bad.
