There are some ideas that suggest that the Universe is both closed in space, and time. Much like a big game of asteroids, if you went off the left side of the screen, you come back on the right side, well, if you go off the far end of time, you come back on at the beginning.
I assume that is what they were referencing rather than a totally Ekpyrotic re-bang model, due to it being "the same as the last one", some ideas for time machines involve sending information around the far end of time to adjust where you were in the past.
I liked it, but bender said something kinda like a sassy black woman at one point, which is completely unlike him. Still fun despite the inconsistencies.
Oh no you din't!

I liked the song.. But I don't think anything beats the Popplers song.
Spoiler: show
Eh, I'm conflicted what my favorite song was. It's either one of the Christmas songs, the Popler song, or Herme's bureaucrat song.
My favorite is the opera.
Robot Hell
There's no way Popplers tops every Futurama song.
