It's not great but it's not all that bad either.

The show ended really well but if the writing is still there I'll take it.
I don’t think my heart can take the rug getting swept up from Fry and Leela again.
Um I don't see John Dimaggio on that list of returning cast members which is kind of a problem.

From what I saw is they expect him back, they're just still ironing out the contract.
I'm mixed on this. On one hand I loved Futurama minus the movie seasons. On the other with the current trend of reboots being meh to crap (with the exception of Cobra Kai) I really don't want to see this get butchered.
I mean, the original talent is(mostly)still behind it, so I'm kinda all for it. The way they ended the last season was fantastic for sure and we'll always have that happy ending, but I'm super stoked for more.
If DiMaggio doesn't come back they better not try to recast Bender. It just won't work.
oh man. I'm torn on this too. I enjoyed a lot of the newer episodes when it got it's additional movies/seasons, but they did ruin one of the best episodes they had.
It's looking a bit bad right now as they are recasting DiMaggio's character for the table reads unless Disney and DiMaggio can work out a deal. Reports are that he wants more money than the rest of the cast because of the popularity of Futurama. I remember when the show came back from the last cancellation and the whole cast took a paycut because they loved the series and fans that much. Not sure how I feel about this...
I mean IDK where I stand on his position until I know what he's asking. Like, is Hulu trying to low-ball the cast because of their previous pay-cut deals and he's like "Nah, not again" and he's just asking to be paid a fair wage this time? Or is it a case of "His Ego is so inflated that he's asking way too much for his role".
Jesus Fucking Christ.
No idea since we don't have the current numbers, but back in 2009 it was about $75,000/episode. Apparently West and Sagal negotiated after back and forth with the studio and DiMaggio was going to be paid the same, but it sounds like the amount put on the table (same as West and Sagal) didn't justify the popularity of the show.
For comparison sake, most voice talent for the Simpsons makes around $300,000/episode and that show hasn't been the same since Season 11 ish and they are in their 33rd Season.
If you do a search on one of the pages that shall not be named they have an interesting article on Futurama.
#bendergate is trending apparently.
Would love more Futurama. People have always criticized the new seasons but while going back and re-watching them some of the most famous memes are from the newer seasons. Sure there was some forgetable episodes but even a mediocre Futurama would be funnier than every single episode of Disenchantment. God damn that show is painfully unfunny.
I really don't want this to be honest. I thought it ended fine before.
If Dimaggio is not in it.. Idc pay the man what he wants!
