What does fried chicken have to do with this?
Kind of late, but:
Hancock has a better view, but lacks sky ledge. Signature room is great, but make sure you budget for it. Domestic beer is at least $8 there.
Lincoln Park Zoo is free, so that's always cool. Go to Millenium Park and take your picture in front of the 'bean' like a tourist.
If you want to do less touristy things: Lincoln Square and Andersonville are very cool. Lots of culture and shops. Wicker Park/Bucktown is where hipster meets yuppie. Pilsen has great Mexican food. Chinatown is pretty awesome during daylight (would never go there at night, lols). Viet Town (Argyle) is also nice, as is Little India (Devon).
Clark from Addison to Belmont has some great bars if you want to day drink. Beware, no specials on Cubs game day though.
I can go on, but I've already filled up things to do for 2 or 3 days.
I've only tried BBQ once: I had it when I was in the US in Alabama, the host family I was being billeted with made it from scratch and it was delicious! I'd love to learn how to make it but they don't sell the right sorts of sauces here. I mean we have BBQ sauce but it's sauce you put on steak/sausages from a BBQ, not what you guys are talking about. Anyone got a recipe for BBQ sauce? lol
2 cups cider vinegar
1 tablespoon peppercorns
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon hot pepper flakes
1 onion finely chopped
1 cup water
Looked like a good one to me, but most are kept fairly secret.

That shit is all indoors.
Check out the Grand Ole Opry Hotel, gf and I wandered around in there for a long ass time when we went to visit my sister (the marine) on leave once.
lol
I tried to guess at things that would be more available there >.<, check out that lmgtfy link, gotta be one with ingredients you can get there.
Check through these: http://homecooking.about.com/gi/dyna.../bbq/sauce.htm
You can order those online if you cant find them locally, but I cant fathom not being able to buy celery seeds![]()
This is the only sauce I use (when I don't make my own):

You can order it online at: http://www.scottsbarbecuesauce.com/
Not sure if they ship to Belgium, though. I don't do that molasses/sweet/thick sauce. It's vinegar-based or nothing.
Oh, and every time I go to Atlanta to visit my sister, I have to stop in Lexington for dinner. :D
This thread is such a resounding affirmation of why I love BG. You fuckers speak truth.
Spread the gospel in your current heathen yankee location Isla.
Why don't we have a BG chicago BBQ/get-together to celebrate the stanley cup victory, it's been like 16 years since Flyers won it last time. The weather's gonna be awesome too
