The only way those weapons will stand a chance of getting peoples' attention is if a fairly average, dedicated player would complete them within several months.

If it is on par difficulty with relics or mythics who is going to bother when the game is getting this old and how some of the magian weapons are already almost as good.

The H2H weapon is just a charcoaled poultry corpse with some gold trim.
Dagger is fabulous.

Sword, polearm, katana, GK, GS, club, axe, and bow all look good, the club is extra impressive.

The GA looks like it's blunt stone.
The scythe head looks good, maybe it's just an odd angle that makes the shaft look so small.
Gun must harness lasers.
Staff looks lame, SE would've have done better to steal a reskin of the ele staves from the dat forums.

Hopefully the weapons will be easily attainable from getting the expansion and then upgradable from the trial of magian so it will just be a matter of time and questing than money.

And they can't even do you the courtesy of telling you what full features or hidden effects the item has before putting in so much effort. Let's see what this Nagi can do! Ohhh... that's a shame...

I'm gonna wait to decide whether or not to buy this, I still feel too burned from the first series. And I would hate myself for encouraging more of that crap. If it turns out that they somehow got it right and made this a fun casual event like Limbus, Assault, and Nyzul I'll get it.

Most likely because the Magian trials have been the FFXI equivalent of FFXIII weapon upgrades the entire time and the "ultimate" weapon is just whichever path you choose taken to the end.
