I feel like a sucker for buying it already since most of what they are showing us between the weapon skills and new monsters are reskins. Oh well at least I won't be billed for it till the end of the month.
What weaponskill did the ninja use in the trailer? I can't tell.
Am I the only one who didn't really care much for the music? It certainly has nothing on even Dynamis-Xarcabard's music and that was released how long ago... I hope there is some other new music that is just as awesome as xarc's in this, and I always love hear the piano/star onions renditions of it. Needless to say I will be preordering this, here's to hoping it doesn't suck. From the video it looks pretty fun, but it'll probably end up being another endless grind like dynamis, working for years to get shiny gear and half of it will probably have awful stats. Then again, who knows, the artifact armor for newer jobs is almost all useful minus a few select pieces, so they could be learning.![]()
The dagger looks like a goddamn spatula. But bow and gun are s-e-x-y.
Judging from the weapon description, it sounds like there will be a new line of Magian trials which must be completed in Abyssea to complete those weapons. I wouldn't mind a system like that as long as it could be done with a party of 6 like Salvage.
Eh. The first three add-ons were basically $10 for spiffy customizable gear that you needed to do fetch quests and ridiculously narrow-strategy-requiring BCNMs for. This is probably going to be $10 for VNMs in reskinned zones. Possibly with spiffy gear as a reward. Annoying fights confirmed.
You'll definitely be a sucker if this one turns out to be shit and you buy the next two the day they go on sale, though. This one might possibly be good.
I already know I wasted $10 when I saw what those hand-to-hand weapons looked like. Good fucking lord they are horrendous.

Seriously, when is SE going to make a high end scythe that doesn't look awful?
We've got the giant golden eyesore and it's black counterparts, the stupid half bladed bat wing looking things, mythic that looks like a polearm, and now this thing.
Scythe's are supposed to be big, intimidating, and badass. Not skinny little orange/brownish things that look like fancy toothpicks.
I'll take my proton cannon, ktnx.
This isn't Soul Calibur. Simplicity is a lost art.
Perfect example of a largely badass weapon done well/subtly: Zodiac Spear.
