Here is a teaser image to the final episode of the hit web-series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. I've been hearing this last episode is going to be epic. The final episode will be premier on Machinima after Comic-Con, but if you’re in San Diego for the ultimate geek convention, you may want to hit up the Mortal Kombat: Legacy panel on Thursday July 22nd from 2-3PM. They will be offering a sneak peek of this last episode, and they will also have a big announcement. My guess is this will announce a feature film adaptation, which would be awesome!

episode took so long because they wanted to do a fight scene like those in Hero then they had to render it in CG.

    Synopsis:

Cyrax and Sektor are chosen to be the future of the Lin Kuei by the Grand Master, but Cyrax is less than enthusiastic about giving his life over to a cybernetic transformation that will erase his memories and turn him into the ultimate fighting machine. When he discovers that the cyborg he is fighting seems closely familiar, Sektor must keep Cyrax focused on destroying Hydro, and not himself or their future...

Ehhhhhh, I don't know how I feel. I mean it was ok I guess? Nothing so far has beaten the Johnny Cage and Raiden chapters imo though.

That was.. underwhelming of a "final" episode. Was hoping for an episode longer then 10 minutes for a final one. No bombs/net from Cyrax? No Sektor rockets/flamethrower? Also that was Kano wasn't it? That wasn't supposed to be Cyber-Sub from MK9 was it? So many questions from the episode and the CG seemed a little.. mediocre, but can't expect top CG from a small group behind these, meh.

Best episodes were the first one with Jax and Sonya and Johnny Cage, imo.

Also, if they decide to make more episodes I'm waiting for Stryker and Kabal see how they do Kabal.

I still liked raiden the most, and I thought the rest would be better since it would be a cool marketing ploy to get people interested after dropping a sexy raiden episode before scorpion/sub-zero and the final episode.

That seemed like cyber sub-zero because of the blue and "hydro" but I'm not sure how much I like that. Why kill off a ninja that relatively held its own vs two others?

I figured they'd have more of a story/acting focus since special effects(especially CG) would be difficult for a small group Overall it's been a disappointment but I'm still going to watch every episode they put out because it's mortal kombat.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Komes to Blu-ray This November
The nine episode web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy will come to a Blu-ray near you this November, courtesy of Warner Bros. and director Kevin Tancharoen, delivering live action Jax, Sonya, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and more onto one high-def disc.

Hi-Def Digest has details on the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Blu-ray, hitting November 8 for $19.98 USD, revealing why you might want to drop a twenty on it instead of simply re-watching the fan-made series on YouTube. That Blu-ray disc will come packed with the following extras.

Mortal Kombat Legacy: Fights - A look at the role Fatalities and hyper-violence play in the Mortal Kombat storytelling process. Included within the piece is a detailed exploration of the fights and stunts staged during the production of the web-series.
Mortal Kombat Legacy: Fan Made - Go inside the mind of Mortal Kombat super fan Kevin Tancharoen and uncover his passion and vision that brought Mortal Kombat: Legacy to life.
Mortal Kombat Legacy: Expanding The Netherrealm — Multi-chapter documentary brings the Mortal Kombat universe to life.
Mortal Kombat: Mysticism - Discover the powers that define the characters.
Mortal Kombat: Gear - Explore all the weapons that make Mortal Kombat fighting unique.
Mortal Kombat: Legacy is also available for download (and purchase) on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Video Store and iTunes, if physical media is dead to you.

Mortal Kombat Is Koming Back to the Big Screen
Looks like director Kevin Tancharoen's actually going to get to make that Mortal Kombat movie he pitched to Warner Bros. The director of Mortal Kombat Rebirth and the web series it spawned, Mortal Kombat Legacy, is getting his very own stab at a feature film.

Tancharoen will direct an all-new Mortal Kombat movie based on a script from writing partner Oren Uziel. The Hollywood Reporter writes that the new story "will not serve as an extension of the game [or] digital series." Production is expected to begin next year with a theatrical release planned for 2013, reports the LA Times' Company Town blog, which pegs the budget at under $100 million.

Warner Bros.' New Line Cinema division will produce. The last time theatergoers got to see Mortal Kombat characters beat each other up on screen was in 1997's tragic Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

The latest video game entry, Mortal Kombat for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, has gone on to sell more than 3 million units since its launch in April.

I hope he has some focus on Kabal this time, was disappointing that he wasn't in the series.
